Anyone see Greta Van Sustern's show yesterday on Fox.
Can you believe this woman. Here Reagan is the big story and her show was about Scott Peterson and OJ. Jeez, cant she wait a week to talk about them.
Greta = the National Enquirer.

"Anyone see Greta Van Sustern's show yesterday on Fox. Can you believe this woman."

One must not forget Greta's roots . .

I don't now and never have trusted her liberal heart. (Nor the other CNN "transfer" on Fox.)

I like Scarborough's show much better. But its pretty funny, when Scarborough attacks Fox. Remember when Joe was attacking Geraldo for making up stories about Iraq and Afghanistan. That was so funny.

Clinton should not speak because he is a self-absorbed jerkoff. And there is REALLY nothing partisan about that.

In case anybody has any doubts about how Reagan felt about Clinton, here is a quote from Reagan's speech at the 1992 Republican National Convention:

I heard those speakers at that other convention saying "we won the Cold War" -- and I couldn't help wondering, just who exactly do they mean by "we"? And to top it off, they even tried to portray themselves as sharing the same fundamental values of our party! What they truly don't understand is the principle so eloquently stated by Abraham Lincoln: "You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

If we ever hear the Democrats quoting that passage by Lincoln and acting like they mean it, then, my friends, we will know that the opposition has really changed.

Until then, we see all that rhetorical smoke, billowing out from the Democrats, well ladies and gentlemen, I'd follow the example of their nominee. Don't inhale.

This fellow they've nominated claims he's the new Thomas Jefferson. Well, let me tell you something. I knew Thomas Jefferson. He was a friend of mine. And governor, you're no Thomas Jefferson.

OK, so I posted something a little controversial, and you don't know me. So what? I am not trying to stir things up, just stating my opinion based on the information I have gathered over the last several years from this site. I don't believe I am wrong, but if I am it wouldn't be the first time. Either way, I apologize for offending anyone.

I do not have a huge post count, I have not been a longtime FR contributor, and I am not just trying to prove a point. I am just stating my opinion. If you disagree, I will not be angry, hurt, or offended.

I was raised in central and South FL, then went to college in TN. I love Ronald Reagan. I am 29 years old, and a lifelong Republican, though my father and grandfather were Democrats. My grandfather never once budged from his party. He was a yellow dog dem. My father voted straight down the Democrat ticket until 1980. He was a Reagan Democrat, now he is 100% GOP (even though he is a Union man). I was forming my political views in the mid 80's as a teen. I remember how the Democrats destroyed heroes like Ollie North to promote their agenda. It still makes me sick to this day. I love my country so much; it is by far the greatest, most generous, and morally superior nation on the face of God's green earth. That's just a little background into who I am.

In times like this, it's ok to step outside the partisan lines and accept the condolences from those who disagree, even from people like John Kerry and Bill Clinton. Don't you agree that Republicans do not own Ronald Reagan? From my several years of reading FR, I still do not believe I am wrong. Intentional or not, there are people who would turn this service into a political event, though I am sure it would not be on the level with the Wellstone fiasco.

Hey, I am man enough to take my beating in stride when I post a position that is not popular. My skin is pretty thick. I am not so easily offended. Unfortunately, that personality of mine makes it easier for me to be blind to my own offenses, which is why I apologize for offending anyone. I don't apologize for my opinion, though.

Neener, neener, neener, Bill!
You are irrelevant!

Not to mention stupid, boring, and narcissistic.
In the words of Dan Hicks,

"How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away"
by Dan Hicks

I've talked to your mother and I've talked to your dad.
They say they've tried but it's all in vain.
I've begged and I've pleaded.
I've even got mad.
Now we must face it, you give me a pain.

(Chorus)
How can I miss you when you won't go away.
Keep telling you day after day.
But you won't listen.
You always stay and stay.
How can I miss you when you won't go away.

Your never ending presence really cramps my style.
I dreamed that it won't always be the same.
At first I was attracted but after a while,
have you ever of a "hard to get thing."

(Chorus)
I mean it, too.

Out of 3 billion people, why must it be me.
Oh why, oh why won't you cut me loose.
Just do me a favor, and listen to my plea.
I'm not the only chicken on the roost.

(Chorus)

During the Republican convention that preceeded the 8 years of lies with x42, didn't President Reagan, in his speech, say something like "...some may call him Slick" about clinochio? I can't find the speech, so maybe some of my fellow FReepers can help out with this. It was a great dig in any event. RIP President Reagan.
