The lot of the no-account eastcoast libsnob longhaired artsyfartsy slagpunk francophile comsymp is not a happy one. Not this week.
All of America and much of the world is celebrating the life of a man who actually changed the course of history, and, for once, for the better. But not quite everyone.

There's gotta be some way to work that into a tagline.
"NEVER again will I stoop to listen or read on word chrisopher hitchens has to say."
Yeah, at first I was surprised at how he had no class at all, and sniped at Mr Reagan with his venom. But then I remembered how Hitchens went after Mel Gibson and his film, The Passion. Clearly, Hitchens is threatened by anyone who is a Christian and will do what he can to chip away at them in his rantings.
THANKS--GREAT POST.
MUCH APPRECIATED.
So truly sad.
LOL! I thought that sounded wrong when I read it, but I realized what he meant.
Great post!
I feel the left will one day realize that the conservative idea is better for this country. That will be a great day in history, but I'm not holding my breath. </ sarcasm>
They are too stupid to realize the fact that individuals know how to spend their money better than large government.
That's it young lady ! You are banned from using the thesaurus for a week !
Tell it to the 100 Million victims of Communism.
(With apology to Hank Williams Jr.)...I'd like to shoot some Beechnut in this dude's eyes and ...
The liberals have been seething every since Reagan was in office. They have become more agressive and are on the verge of taking our country over if thwe Moderate to Conservative dont awaken and get their attention.
They are rabid in their ways and must be treated like a "Mad Dog".
America needs to understand the goal of the liberal is to rule like a dictator with no morals, values or hard fast rules. They have almost succeeded in getting rid of every code, value and symbol of what America was founded upon.
I read something in another thread that said in effect, (In the USSR) "the future is known, but the past is always in question." Or something like that.
In any case, it demonstrates the dimlibs' propensity to revise history. I have said for a long time that the main thing for which the dimlibs cannot forgive The Gipper is his single-handed vanquishing of the USSR, proving once again the folly of their twisted ambitions.
"One wonders how much her hatred of Ronald Reagan inspired Brazille to become more than she might otherwise have been."
I'd say it was the opposite, that her hatred of Reagan, and even more so, his policies, has held her back. She actually seems pretty sharp, too bad she's on the wrong side of the argument.
Ronald Reagan's decision to defeat the USSR raised howls from the left. They all thought he was out of his mind. I was in the Army, statione with the 11th ACR in the Fulda Gap in the early eighties and would have been astounded to know that within a decade that threat would crumble and disappear. At the time we knew for sure that we were the only thing standing between the Russian Bear and the interior of Western Europe and it was indeed a sobering experience. Reagan gave us the backbone to stand in that gap knowing we had a man in the Whitehouse who would back us to the hilt, he is sorely missed.
Rest in peace Mr. President.
SCOUTS OUT!
...or how's about plain ol' running dog, neo-Stalinist pig...
Reagen's deficits were simply the price of liberating Eastern Europe (and eventually, many more). This money, unlike the mega-billions spent by the liberals in the war on poverty, actually helped people.
What the Reagen deficits accomplished was simply the clearest victory in American policy since V-J Day.
Hitchens and his fellow travelers will never forgive Ronald Reagen for the conclusive ass-kicking (sorry, mom) he gave their ideologies. When you're a sophisticated intellectual and an amiable dunce kicks your ass in the largest argument in the politics of Western culture, you can never really recover your self-respect.
Reagan would have ignored them. Why don't we do the same?
I'm with you... Hitchens is an idiot.
The old adage is so true: You can tell a lot about a man by the enemies he makes. What a tribute to Pres. Reagan that he can count these bits of worthless debris as enemies! They are beneath contempt.
