Does America need a TV network pushing the homosexual agenda?

MTV, the network which brought us the infamous Super Bowl halftime show, has announced that they are beginning a cable TV network to push the homosexual agenda. The new network will be advertiser-supported and will be offered as part of the "basic" package by cable networks.

The network is scheduled to begin operating on February 17, 2005. "We have big plans and hopes for LOGO (the new homosexual network) and I'm thrilled to finally announce its arrival," said Tom Freston, CEO of MTV networks. MTV is owned by Viacom, which also owns CBS, Showtime, VH1, Comedy Central, and TV Land.

Yes, it does. There are two reasons for this:

1. Maybe they'll leave the rest of the networks alone from this point forward. Sort of like the way the controversy surrounding the banishment of that Irish gay/lesbian group from the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade died down -- even the most radical gay activists realized that getting a third gay/lesbian parade in New York City (after the Gay Pride Parade and the Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village) was a bit of a stretch.

2. It's not as if I would ever watch the damn thing (or even allow it to be included in a cable package in my home) anyway.

I thought Bravo was a homosexual network. For real.
Are they saying it's not?

A case could also be made that Oxygen, Lifetime, and perhaps the Hallmark Channel are also all homosexual networks.

The real question is: Does America want such a network. Revenue will tell the tale, and the market will rule once again.

So that everybody has to pay for it you mean. If it was an extra and had to be paid extra for, it would die a quick death.

Yes.

This way depraved disease spreading freaks can make their dangerous mental disorder seem normal and fun.

Does America really care? Nobody really needs any TV network.

I have no doubt it'll go the way of Al Franken's radio show. If it doesn't pay for itself, it'll disappear fast.

Free country and all... I will never watch it so:

Whatever.

On "basic cable" is a bit troublesome, but as another poster correctly noted, I can't imagine the station making a substantial profit off of advertising... even if the "liberal" predictions of 8% of the nation's populous is indeed homosexual (which I believe is outlandish).

If 2% of the population get a TV channel just consider all the other groups that exceed that size that should have their own.

"VH-1" is promoting itself as a "metrosexual" network.

Exactly. How about the all swimming channel. Perhaps a TV channel for members of labor unions...the possibilities are endless.
