Hi Hair, I'm sure you're right about the family have some time alone with the remains.

Viewing for the public at the Library will conclude tomorrow night, but he won't go to Washington until Wednesday.

I hope that gives enough time for those on the West Coast to pay their respects in person.

Actually, the correct name is "mourning doves" for their mournful song. Soft and low and very beautiful.

Judy Woodruff is a dried up has-been, in my not so humble opinion. (Not so humble when it comes to loathing the Woodruff's of the world, that is.)

That's nice ... there are too many divisions in families when there is a divorce and it hurts the kids the most.

My husband's former wife and I e-mail each other frequently over "the kids" even thought they are in their 30's and haven't lived with us since they were 20. The kids have told us how much they appreciated that we invited them for prom nights to help the kids get dressed and graduation parties, etc.

Does anyone know if if the USCG provides participants for the pallbearers and honor guard? I don't think I've seen one yet.

Chief?

I went to the funeral home yesterday. I live walking distance. It was very moving and most everyone was silent & respectful. Many people smiled....I cannot help but smile when I think of Reagan. I remember many quotes, but this one was very telling:

"Since I came to the White House, I've gotten two hearing aids, had a colon operation, a prostate operation, skin cancer, and I've been shot. Funny thing is, I never felt better."

Local Fox 11 said that five or six bus loads left Moorpark College about 20 minutes ago. The line to clear security is very long.

The libs are coming unglued folks, standby, this is only the beginning. This is merely the seventh inning stretch within Ronald Reagan's lifetime of home runs. The libs struck out a long time ago and this is simply their attemt to win a game that real America forfeited a long time ago.

I can't stand her voice, either. She has NO inflection. Everything sounds the same, whether it's a car chase, a film premiere, or a suicide bombing in Israel.
