Huge wastes of skin, all of them. My cousin's parents are a perfect example of two WRONGS making a RIGHT! LOL! I live by the saying, "You are given your family; thank God you can pick your friends." If it weren't for my adoptive father (who was banned from this form BTW) I would also be a lost soul. Yeah. God bless my cuz and all of the awesome armed forces serving to protect, not only this greatest nation on earth, but the idea of freedom itself.

Now here's a thought to make you shudder: WHAT STATE WOULD AMERICA BE IN HAD RONALD REAGAN NEVER LIVED?
For that matter, what state would the world be in if our country were solely governed by Demoncraps? Perhaps the whole world would be under the iron heel of communism.
"Lord God in heaven, take our beloved Ronald Reagan up to heaven forever, so that, if, by your grace, I should make my way there, I can thank him personally for what he did for my nation, my people, the unborn and all the world."

What a great website. I lit a candle. Ronald Reagan is greatly loved around the world. Even though it is his time, it's still sad.

I had just come home from watching the Thunderbirds at Maxwell AFB. My wife went to the computer to look for an e-mail she was expecting, and I turned on the tv and saw a snippet of ABC's hit piece, which I promptly turned off, suspecting that President Reagan had passed away. I made my wife get off of the computer while I checked Free Republic, to confirm my suspicions and get a better, more respectful report of the news.

I was returning home from seeing Harry Potter. I had just logged off the FR Reagan thread to go to the movies, and on the way home we heard the Mariners post game show talking about whether or not the game should have been stopped to lower the flag to half staff. My husband and I just looked at each other, and we knew.

I had just returned from NYC. We turned the TV on at about 5:30 and tuned into Fox News. As soon as I heard them discussing Reagan, I knew immediately that he has passed away.
Ever since I learned that he was suffering from Alzheimer's I knew I wanted to travel to DC for his state funeral when his time arrived. Now, infortunately., I will be away until next Sunday.
It's a very sad time. I have been listening to the news on MSNBC (we don't have Fox in my place) all night long trying to hear as much as possible before we leave. There have been many many tributes and wonderful vignettes on his life.
...even from Bill Clinton.
So far, I have only heard one negative view concerning Ronald Reagan...and that came from a Freeper.

I knew the news wasn't good. I had been reading in the morning The Right Nation by John Micklewait and Adrian Wooldridge. I had no idea it would turn out to be so prophetic. When I finished the last page, I went to bed. A few hours later, I logged online and saw Ronald Reagan had died and headed to FR to post some tributes. And yes, the Right Nation lives on which is to my way of thinking, the best tribute to his life and memory. This is a day none of us will ever forget.

I was at home and had FoxNews on. Between reporting on D-Day they were mentioning that President Reagan was very, very ill. Then they reported that Nancy Reagan said "This is it." I was doing this and that around the house and I missed Fox saying that he did die. When I finally caught up with the announcement, I felt both a sadness and a relief. My husband was watching TV when it was announced and he said "It's funny, President Reagan was suffering, he was 93, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but while he was still alive his American spirit was still with us. I said "President Reagan's spirit will go down on history as one of our greatest American Presidents". He said, "Yeah, you are right - he'll never be forgotten".

BTW, who was the poet from which Reagan was quoting when he gave a speech for the Challenger victims in '86, and he said something like "They slipped the surly bonds of Earth and touched the face of God." How Reagan delivered that speech made an 11-year old like me cry. It was that touching. You can read all about it right here.

The family and I just returned from Home Depot. Got a call from my mother as soon as I walked through the door. She told us. I saw news reports this morning about his health taking a turn for the worse. I started thinking that this would probably be the end for a great man. He was president during the big part of my growing up. He will be missed and never equaled.
