I really pray that the Left has a shred of human decency in them and do not behave untoward. There will always be a few who are evil, but let us pray Reagan's vision will win out in the end.

From "Abortion and The Conscience of a Nation", April.1984.

An essay by President Ronald Reagan.

The final paragraph:

"Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide. My Administration is dedicated to the preservation of America as a free land, and there is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human beings, the right without which no other rights have any meaning."

Knew it was coming, but it is still hard to accept. When I was a teen, this was the great role model we had to look up to in the oval office(I graduated in 88). Godspeed Mr. Reagan, may you slip peacefully to Heaven's doors when the time comes.

D-Day would be fitting, especially for a President/man who was a shining example of that generation who served abroad & at home druing World War II.

Darn it, now I'm crying. :(

The DUhers are already saying that Bush is going to exploit Reagan's death for votes. More like what they tried to do with Wellstone.

Mike Wallass would be the last person Nancy Reagan should be confiding in. Wallass is just that, a total Ass.

President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II, are the two people most responsible for ending the USSR/Evil Empire.

Fitting that they go together.

could someone go tell Joanne Drake, she says nothing is happening.

I confess that I don't know anything about Joanne Drake, but please don't be too tough on her. This is a very difficult time for those in President Reagan's inner circle, as it is for millions of us who admire this great man. The media is beginning to swarm around the residence, and Joanne Drake, I'm sure, is just doing what she can to preserve the family's privacy.

When I look back on my life, one thing that I am most proud of, is that I voted for this great man in EVERY presidential election. In some small way I, little ol' me, had a part in it.

I consider him the greatest president of my lifetime. The ONLY real conservative president in my lifetime. I wonder where his funeral will be held? I'd like to be there to show my last respects.
