Fox news is reporting that Nancy Reagan told Chris Wallace that "the long journey is coming to an end." The family is gathering at their Bel Air Home.
"The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved good-bye and "slipped the surly bonds of earth" to "touch the face of God."
President Reagan, you too honored us. God Speed.

Geez, Yonder, that's good stuff. He NEVER backed off this unbounding optimism, did he? I especially enjoy the recent revelations about his writing -- that he had much more to do with it than anyone gave credit for. Like I said, I've expected this was coming, but I didn't expect it to be as hard as it is.

What you say is true, but I believe that when Ronald Reagan passes over, he will be in a place where he can once again serve America. He loved God and he loved America in that order, so how can anyone who believes in an eternal life doubt that he will do whatever he can to see that blessings from above are bestowed upon our country and citizens? God bless you and keep you Ronald Reagan... go peacefully to your reward.
He was also one of our best presidents. He just missed being truly great.
Good too that he isn't lucid enough to see that communism and socialism, veiled as they are by the media, have taken up serious roots within the democrat party.
Back during Reagan's administration, one could count the number of communist/socialist elected officials on one hand. Dellums and company back then. Today that block has its own caucus in the 'Rat party. And it actually includes key 'Rat leaders.

I can't help but wonder if the Democrats are so stupid as to have a Wellstonian dance-on-his-grave party.

I thought of that as well. It does sound closer than we've heard, officially. Someone mentioned that the "family is gathering." Lord.
