What do you wanna bet the Nuge tried to get some time on a .50 Cal? Kill it and Grill it Teddy!
I bet Ted was drooling over the weaponry, lol.
"Our Cleveland County Republican Women's Club adopted six of the soldiers."
Hmm...you've reminded me that I need to send something to someone in the 45th.
Additionally, I got to hear actor Gary Sinise on KABC radio here in Los Angeles last
night promoting a program to get school supplies to Iraq. Host Al Rantel (Okla. State U.
grad) had Sinise on for a full hour. Sinise seems to be cut from the other decent guy
from Malibu (aside from Mel Gibson), as he gave a very humble summary of his USO tours and
his charitable work.
The thread is over here:

Oh, and the working link to the charity Sinise works on is in post 14 on that thread.

Orrin Hatch (ick!) was on Hannity(?) today and said that about 3 dozen Repub Senators spent time today with our servicemen who are at Walter Reed. He said our soldiers were all itching to get healed so they can go back. What incredible people! We are truly blessed.
Keith and Nuggent are awesome.
We should all get involved. The U.S.O. has a program to send care packages.
"The Iraq Concert was a few hours ago and hard to find pictures of it right now."
I'll give a bump and link to another fantastic concert given by Keith in a
more intimate venue:

that empty box in post 45 on that thread represents the one image I curse myself for
not having "appropriated".
It showed Patrick Miller singing, Keith in profile smiling hugely, and some
good ole boy standing behind them and whooping it up at the top of his lungs.
It was instant classic Americana.
Outstanding!!!!!...........
And the Libs have Streisand (sp) and Moore-on.....LOL
Our last adoptee recently came home and talked to the kids. They gave him a standing ovation. What a rush!
His wish list...Send more beef jerky!
Thanks for that info! Will go visit the thread!
Beef jerky was on the list we had as well. Never acquired a taste for it myself! Also sent a sealed canister of ice tea crystals which they wanted.
Think it is neat to adopt the soldiers and let everyone know how much we care! Bet the kids really had a great time but bet the soldier had even a better time.
"Sinise seems to be cut from the other decent guy
from Malibu (aside from Mel Gibson), "
Duh...I meant to say that Sinise seems to be cut from the same cloth as the other
decent guy from Malibu (Mel Gibson)...
Thanks for the report on the Naples Concert, these Guys, Toby and Ted, have really been busy supporting the effort. Just Proud to know they exist.... :-). Bob Hope must of sent them. It really stings to go to the entertainment news, or the news in general and see that flake....Moore there...WHERE ARE THE MEDIA COVERING THESE GREAT AMERICANS?
Music for the Troops ping
and most likely some target practice too.
I'll bet they paid their own way when not on MAC flights, too.
Ted Nugent is truly one of the good guys. When my son was on leave after serving on the Teddy Roosevelt during the Gulf War, and was returning to his ship, he was waiting for his flight at O'Hare.
Ted was also awaiting a flight and approached my son and struck up a conversation. Just one of the guys.
I'm so glad these men have taken the time to go and entertain our troops. All they want is to know that we care about them, pray for them, and stand behind them. We do.
Toby and Ted's big adventure is worthwhile for all involved. Bless em both for going there and making those, taking their turn in the barrel, smile !
Stay safe !
What really impressed them was care packages from strangers. They appreciated that alot.
Great to see Democrat Toby Keith supporting the troops.
