GRANBY, Colo. (News 4) A person with a gun has reportedly driven a bulldozer with armor welded to it into several buildings in the town of Granby and heavily damaged the Town Hall, News 4 reports.

The suspect fired shots, and it is unknown what his motive was. Witnesses said police were firing shots at the bulldozer, but were not able to penetrate the armor.

Several buildings were heavily damaged in the main section of town, according to witnesses. Witness Teri Hertel told News 4 by phone that the driver plowed through several trees and signs on the street.

The caterpillar tractor had armor welded to it, according to News 4 photojournalist Rob McClure on scene.

Many police were responding to the situation, including the Jefferson County SWAT team. Emergency crews also called for evacuations, according to witnesses.

Weaver didn't do anything wrong. He did not even shorten the barrel too short. He was found innocent of all charges except failure to appear and that was due to being told falsely that his home would be seized. The magistrate didn't even know the law.

He simply refused to betray others.

Weaver broke the law, refused to cooperate with authorities, refused to show up in court, and then created an armed standoff as a result.

You are utterly wrong or are attempting to change the facts. Weaver was asked by a convicted fellon and BATF informant to illegaly alter a shotgun and refused the entrapment. The BATF charge was bogus and the court through it out. Why would he trust corrupt officiols and believe he would receive a fair court hearing? That is all the congress faulted him for. The so called shootout was started by BATF lies and U.S. Marshalls that murdered his son and shot one of their own with friendly fire and blamed it on the Weavers. Than the FBI unconstitutionaly changed the rules of engagement for the FBI and executed Weavers wife. Who is the responsible party for wasting tax dollars? Start with the BATF and congress. Overzealous BATF have caused the death of innocent at Waco texas a few years later with Janet Reno's help and consent.

But that doesn't in any way excuse Weaver's actions that led up to this.

What actions caused the charges against Weaver to be dropped including the murder of a federal marshall?

What actions led to the government settling with Weaver to the tune of $5 million?

If Weaver was in the wrong as you assert, then why did the government back down?

Earth graders have pinned the dozer against a building... now dozer free - went right through the "energy" building...trees knocked down...back down main street toward witness...gun turrets...tracks covered up...witness evacuating..

Employees of the Rachel Corrie Construction Company were not available for comment.

BWHAHAHHAHAHA!

That was ALMOST as funny as the Fox newswoman describing the driver as "disgruntled".

does a cop have anything powerful enough to tear up a bulldozers tracks?

There is an industry just in repairing bulldozer tracks. They are always coming off the wheels and breaking. Put a rock in there or a piece of metal. It will at least jam the track and maybe knock it off the idler.

Blather all you want. You may be a longtime Freeper, may often post some good viewpoints, but plenty of times I've seen you rant a load of total BS. Refute anything that I've posted that isn't factual. You can't.

People have access to my posting history, and to yours. Let them decide for themselves who is closer to the truth.

"It's already stopped. The cops are trying to get at him.
Seems he was angry about property taxes or something."

Might be a radiator problem with his dozer.

That's a great picture! What is that thing shooting anyway?

The reciever looks a bit like the .50 mechanizism, but the rounds are so small.

Because some in the FBI made mistakes, and worse, some attempted a coverup. But that doesn't excuse Weaver's action, his failure to appear in court, his failure to surrender to authorities, his failure to fight within the legal system. It doesn't excuse any of his actions.

I had a cop pull me over on a traffic stop a few months ago, but I wasn't speeding. He approached my car with a gun at his side. Would I have been justified, bearing no blame whatsoever, if I had pulled my gun out and started a standoff? Ya know, I might have thought that he'd impound my car and haul it away...
