GRANBY, Colo. (News 4) A person with a gun has reportedly driven a bulldozer with armor welded to it into several buildings in the town of Granby and heavily damaged the Town Hall, News 4 reports.
The suspect fired shots, and it is unknown what his motive was. Witnesses said police were firing shots at the bulldozer, but were not able to penetrate the armor.
Several buildings were heavily damaged in the main section of town, according to witnesses. Witness Teri Hertel told News 4 by phone that the driver plowed through several trees and signs on the street.
The caterpillar tractor had armor welded to it, according to News 4 photojournalist Rob McClure on scene.
Many police were responding to the situation, including the Jefferson County SWAT team. Emergency crews also called for evacuations, according to witnesses.
Weaver broke the law by agreeing to shorten a shotgun barrel for a federal agent who approached him to perform that act for money. Cutting off a shotgun barrel doesn't merit that level of response.
The persons that wasted your tax dollars were Clinton and Reno, if you can manage to think that clearly.
Even if they take him alive, he will never have to make any restitution. Some humped-up liberal judge will just say that he had a bad childhood and turn the sucker loose.
Effective anti-armor ordinance.
CBS channel 4, Denver, taped report says the guy in the vehicle doesn't seem to be shooting, vehicle currently stopped.
Police (local and state) are firing on the vehicle.
"And you think Gore is whacky"?
Probably not. SWAT gets all the nice stuff.
This cements my desire to buy the .50 Beowulf. The gun grabbers might actually have a case to cite for criminal use of a 50.
Shep's got it on FoxNews!!!! Yeh Shep!
The dad put his family in danger by his own actions. He created a standoff, knowing full well that there were live bullets, and the risks involved. Yet the fool did it anyway, and lost a kid and a wife as a result.
Look, some in the FBI mishandled this, badly so, in trying to cover up mistakes. To hell with them. But that doesn't in any way excuse Weaver's actions that led up to this.
Too many so-called conservatives with anti-cop/anti-FBI/other agendas falsely portray them as poor innocent victims. Their dad and mom chose to play with fire, and paid the price as a result.
Weaver was not the one who escalated it through the use of excessive force.
"No, why not send him to Israel where he can do something useful like knock down a few terrorists houses."
This guy is more qualified for a new Twilight Zone flick.
especially since weaver only agreed to shorten the barrel to the minimum legal length. he failed to account for the width of the sawblade.
i believe Weaver only did some 6 months in jail on a secondary charge because the original charges were dropped or thrown out.
BTW i don't believe Weaver was an angel by any means, Weaver should have turned himself in.
Finally on Fox News!
As usual you left out Weaver's refusal to show up in court, refusal to surrender to authorities, refusal to fight through the legal system. Instead he took up arms. And since this all happened in 1992, how are Clinton and Reno to blame for Weaver's actions?
But that's par for the course for the Weaver deifiers. The myth is so much more convenient in portraying them as victims than the actual truth.
So his wife deserved to be shot in the head?
You're a perfect example of what went wrong with this forum a few years ago. Your screenname fits you perfectly, you're probably some little fatso with a big mouth.
KUSA - witness describes two earth graders trying to battle dozer. Police trying to pour gasoline into the cab...has gun turrets with flaps...
Police are complaining they didnt have any weaponry heavy enough to stop this thing , now they want Rocket launchers in the trunk of every police car along with the M-16's they got after the Bank robbery in LA.
