John Kerry (news - web sites) told a Detroit radio station on Friday he'd name his running mate "in a matter of days," throwing the Washington rumor mill into high gear. Later in the day, he grinned when told that his interview was taken seriously.
"All you have you do is listen to it," Kerry said aboard his campaign plane. "It was plain (that it was a joke). Don't ever write about me being dour and sober and somber."
"There is no announcement imminent," Kerry spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said. "And we won't have more to say on the subject until Senator Kerry makes a decision on who is the best possible running mate."
Democrats say they've been told by the campaign not to expect Kerry's choice until next month.
In an interview with WJR in Detroit, Kerry was asked who he was considering for vice president.
"Yeah, we'll have that done very, very shortly. We've really got most of them in place and we're on the short list and we'll have it done in a matter of days," Kerry replied.
Asked if he would announce the choice on he show, the senator said sarcastically: "Yeah, absolutely. That was my plan, and let me see now, I'll run through the list."
"Senator Kerry was just making a joke after the radio host asked if he'd make his announcement on the radio show," Cutter said.
That a boy, you just keep talking!!!
WOW!!! What a resemblance! Maybe that is his long lost grandpa?
By now, even the most ardent Democrats in the press must realize what a doofus Kerry is. Buyer's remorse, here we come...

Some Pakistani paper reported it was going to be Johnny Depp.
This guy is not healthy.
Whoever it is, he didn't support them before he supported them. He dosen't have a running mate, his family does. The running mate belongs to his family.
It (dem VP nominee) hasn't exactly been a springboard to greatness, has it? It didn't do much for Leiberman, or Gore either, when it counted. Bentsen went nowhere after '88, neither did Ferraro after '84.
He named his nominee before he didn't name his nominee.
Kerry is such a jokester...my sides hurt from laughing.....NOT!
Dour, sober and somber are not the words I first think of when John Kerry's name is brought up!
And another resounding flip...and a flop.
I posted this before; He is picking Bob Kerrey to be his running mate and their campaign theme song is going to be "Kerry-Kerrey" sung to the tune of Neil Diamonds song "Cherry Cherry". Trust me. Neil Diamond is even performing at the `Rat convention. Look it up.

No wonder the media is trying to keep him hidden from the viewing public.
The more he screws himself, the more I am anticipating seeing him in the debates and hoping to see him blow.
