(Providence, RI) -- Mayor David Cicilline will host ceremonies today to raise the Rainbow Flag over City Hall. The ceremony kicks-off RI Pride festivities in Providence in recognition of the contributions of the gay and lesbian community. The flag-raising is scheduled for 5:30.<
So they're setting up an new country. What are they going to call it? Fudgepackistan? Lower Carpetmunchia?
Is it true that the flag is a large brown eye?
FYI, David Cicilline is the gay mayor of Providence.
To recognize a citizen for contributions to a community is not a bad thing in itself . . . but what does the way one has sex have to do with it?! (Or the color of one's skin, or nationality, etc. etc.)
Other than IN YOUR FACE!
Signaling surrender to the Butt Pirates?
What, the French have a new flag?
Can someone give me one good reason why we shouldn't swap New England for Western Canada?
Anyone?
Is Jeff Gordon attending?
Good Plan. I'm with you on that.
Hey Keep NH here please we are still conservative
as for the rest of New England we should send it back to Old England ASAP
A suggestion that is long overdue. Can we throw New England's RINOs in too?
Proud of what....who someone has sex with? Or contributions to the community? Why is SEXUAL PREFERANCE involved? Sick stuff.
Flying a rainbow flag??? Oh gag me with a spoon.
Wow do you live in the dark ages (Satire)
If 2 guys live together and are great friends and contributers to society but fail to have gay sex then they are not eligable for any of the benefits from eachothers employers or the state. Gay sex is everything to that community. Their lives are 100% about fugdepacking. It is their life and as important to them as the air they breathe.
Maine and NH are OK
Have the Democrats considered having their own flag yet?
. . .sure they would; after a few minor adjustments on the 'cross design'.
What really upsets me is the brief article states they are celebrating contributions to the community. What contributions are they talking about? If someone wanted to celebrate faith-based community contributions or southern contributions, they would never allow a flag with a cross or a confederate battle flag to be flown. As far as I'm concerned, the only flags that should fly over City Hall are the American flag and the State flag.
Vancouver.
