I still believe Tenet was behind the "burning" of Valerie Plame. And if he was, it was perfectly legal (the law allows the DCI to reveal any agent's cover). I'll be interested to see if that case hits the press during the slow summer months. I'd love to see it happen, if true.

I've thought of that and posted as much before. I'm not so sure, BUT, Tenet clearly stated in his public statement that this sub-group sent Wilson *on their own volition*. He was not consulted. Then the BBC was the recipient of anonymous statements by a "CIA official" that was representing the Wilson story--which is a false story. You know Tenet did not authorize that garbage. If anything it was by way of explaining why his agency sent the odious and foul Wilson off to Niger. Why he wouldn't publicly disclose, I suppose, would be to cover against suit from the Wilsons who are claiming it was retaliation when it was no such thing.
