SEATTLE, WA (Talon News) -- Liberal Seattle radio talk show host Mike Webb continued his personal assault against Talon News and threatened the correspondent who exposed his death threats against the president with a "lawsuit."
As Talon News has been reporting over the past couple of weeks, a listener to The Mike Webb Show, which airs from 10:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. on 710 AM KIRO in Seattle, Washington, said that Webb had "called for the death of President Bush and Secretary Rumsfeld for 'war crimes'" during his program on Tuesday, May 18.
However, Webb has subsequently responded several times by stating he never made any such statement.
Yet, an audiotape of Webb's show obtained by Talon News found he directly called for President George W. Bush to be put to death supposedly for his part in the Iraqi prison abuse controversy.
"[S]hould George Bush get the death penalty? I say yes," Webb exclaimed on his show.
Since confirmation of these death threats against Bush, Rumsfeld, and Vice President Dick Cheney by Webb have been made public, the anti-Bush talk show host has routinely responded by hurling personal attacks against conservative news web sites, their correspondents, and their readers.
Maintaining that conservative news outlets such as Talon News "couldn't publish a Jr. High newspaper," Webb previously stated on his weblog that he is "not staying stuck on what some puny, hit-less website that arouses ire from granny and her son at the trailer park," a blatant insult to all conservative news groups and their readers.
As reported on Tuesday, Webb even went one step further by describing Talon News readers as members of the Ku Klux Klan.
Although Webb has accused Talon News of "slander," his words of insult in return have been even more scathing and potentially criminal.
Webb erroneously accused a Talon News correspondent of being "under indictment for wiretapping and various other antics to screw with the Democratic Party."
Describing conservative web sites as "little girls" who "toss a hissyfit over someone who disagrees with anything" that is not conservative, Webb said these web sites "lie, cheat and steal to remove any semblance of contrary thought."
In yet another personal assault against a Talon News correspondent, Webb claims the news stories written about him are "pure invention stemming from a jealous out of work talk show host who wants my job who boils over with envy about my ratings."
Although he told his listeners he would ignore reports about him by Talon News, Webb has still been unable to resist the urge to respond to these "fairytales" about him.
In a weblog entry on Monday morning, Webb brought up the possibility of taking legal action against the Talon News correspondent who exposed him.
"Is it worth a lawsuit? You tell me," Webb asked his listeners.
Describing the Talon News reporting by his "Biggest Fan" as "almost laughable," Webb claims he must be innocent since the Secret Service has not been in contact with him about his threats against the president.
Expressing his desire not to "waste my airtime on" this issue, Webb still made a direct plea to his listeners for legal advice.
"I did want to ask you if you thought it was worth pursuing through legal channels or should I blow this nutcase off, knowing if he would say such irresponsible crap about me, he probably doesn't have much traction outside of his Klan of Loyalists (all 3) with the same 'hotmail' [sic] address," Webb expressed.
Unveiling another fabrication when he states that a Talon News correspondent is "already pretty busy in the courtroom," Webb said he does not "want to waste time and energy on some little half-baked web site," despite the fact that he has continued to respond to the stories written about him.
Webb said his listeners have been "supportive" and the "only negative voice/email I get is from people [mainly in the south -- sigh]."
In one last jab at the Talon News correspondent who exposed him, Webb uses personal attacks while inquiring again about a lawsuit.
"So, again, do I sue the pants off this guy [size 48 on a non-Crispy Creme (sic) day], or I do I let his little GOP webiste [sic] keep giving me publicity?" Webb again inquired.
Interestingly, by Monday afternoon, the weblog entry about taking legal action against Talon News mysteriously disappeared from Webb's weblog.
Allow me a moment to ROF and LMAO!! This is part 5 or 6 in the on-going Mike Webb/ Talon News saga. FR Keywords "Mike Webb" or "KIRO" should bring up the preceeding articles about Mr. Webb who is a true legend in his own mind.
Prairie
on-going saga ping
Please don't make me laugh!
Webb's the king of denial! LOL!
I'm pinging you to this thread because I think you'll get a chuckle from this!
That darn fool Webb is now denying he said what hw said in public on the radio and is suing Talon news and other Conservative Websites for, Get This!, DEFEMATION OF CHARACTER! ROTFLOL!
Actually, the ability to publish a junior high school grade newspaper is exactly the standard used by liberals to judge journalistic quality -- hence, the New York Times is considered laudable.
YES. Truth is a defense against slander - if they've got the tape them let this silly putz sue.
What a miserable place Seattle must be if this Anti-American clown is what they've got on the radio.
From your post #3:Webb's the king of denial! LOL!

:^D
Webb's response to SS inquiries will be "Well, that depends on how you define 'death penalty'".
I have a friend, a radio DJ, that told me once that they have to be very careful what they say on the air. For instance, they have to notify callers that they are on the air, be careful about releasing personal information about anyone on the air, etc. Ask any radio DJ and they'll tell you a story about a fellow DJ that went a little too far with a prank and ended up on the street. I think Mr. Webb is fully aware of this, hence his fantastic thrashing as he watches his career auger in.
The goof!
Thanks, Meekie!
I'll have o chk it when I get home.
Well... look at the hours he's on.
We have some excellent conservative talk-radio in Seattle:
KVI 570 AM: Kirby Wilbur, Rusty Humphries, John Carlson (and more)
KTTH 770 AM: Mike Siegel, Michael Medved, Rush Limbaugh (and more)
KKOL 1300 AM: Hugh Hewitt (I think, my reception is poor)
These are just those I listen to, when I can. And I think this lineup would stand up well against any in the nation.
Sticking it out with you on the other end....
