Tornado watch has been cancelled for N. Central Texas. Storm still approaching Corsicana. ETA 10-15 min. No tornados, just a big storm. They should be able to weather it (excuse the pun) in their camper.

tornado or wind damage..i suspect that a powerful gust from moved over the area..along with gustnadoes..which are weaker tornado spinups along it..that cause more damage

Local Tyler, TX news reporting storms now approaching Corsicana........expecting heavy rains & string winds.

I'm about 50 miles S/E of Corsicana, & definitely watching these storms

Power outages all over the DFW area. TV and radio claim these nasty storms are simply natural, authorities claiming that it was just from the amazing lightning show. But tinfoil freeps know better! THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE, BUT IT WAS AN AQ THUNDERCELL.

Nothing to see here, move along. There has been an amazing increase in thunderstorms, lightning, and train derailments. Tom Ridge, the FBI, and John Ashcroft are jackbooted idiots. And somehow illegal immigration is to blame. I'm going to sit at home and pout out this election.

Yeah, I'm in Bryan. Last night we had three lines of storms move through, all resulting in a T-Storm warning. Last one finally moved out around 3:00 A.M. The second storm was tornadic when it was in Roberston county (county just north of Bryan/Collge Station) but it weakened a bit and dumped baseball sized hail as it started to die off.

I thought it was caused by President Bush's refusal to sign Kyoto? lol

No, not in Bryan but close to Conroe. In one of those radar loops linked above, I noticed a cell developing near Bryan which will probably head in my direction.

So far I'm hearing some wind damage, but nothing too major, primarily trees and down wires. The main problem has been lightning, 8000+ strikes recorded in the last couple of hours. I can't recall power outages being this extensive up here. WBAP knocked off the air for a while, DFW airport and Love Field both had terminals and towers lose power. Storm has been gone from N. Tarrant Co. for more than a half hour, but am still hearing lots of loud thunder.

Also, it would be a good idea to stay off the phones until morning. Several requests from authorities asking folks to limit their calls, as much of the cell phone and landline network is down or swamped.

Looks like you two may get lucky tonight. It seems to be drifting east faster than it's heading south, and it seems like it's weakening a bit in intensity too. Of course, that could be a trick like last night.

Don't worry, now that the ballgame is over KRLD is doing a fantastic job of alerting potential looters to exactly which neighborhoods are out of power.

Yes, got knocked off for a second time a few minutes ago. Still lots of lightning in the area, and a smattering of small rain and storms splotches are starting to reform over the area. A new line of storms has formed out of nowhere, running along just west of I-35E from Irving to Denton and moving northeast. So who knows, we may have more storms form overnight.

Send them. We will figure it out.
