BRUSHFIRE ALERT: "Screw Pizza Hut"
******************** "Screw Pizza Hut" June 1, 2004
Ronald B. Honeycutt, 38, who has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, says he's been delivering pizzas for 20 years and has always packed heat on the job, reports WorldNetDaily.com (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=38726) today. At around 11 p.m. on May 17th, just after he had made a delivery in a high-crime neighborhood in Indianapolis, a dirtball confronted Honeycutt with a loaded 9 mm handgun. At that point, Honeycutt pulled out his own 9 mm from the back of his pants and fired 15 times, hitting the would-be robber at least 10 times, killing him.
Sounds like pretty good gun control to us. And dare we say, an awfully effective deterrent.
Anyway, Honeycutt went back to his Pizza Hut store and called the cops. The cops have since determined that Honeycutt acted in self-defense and will not face criminal charges. Nevertheless
Pizza Hut fired him.
For violating a company policy against carrying firearms.
BRUSHFIRE ALERT: Now, lets be honest here. Pizza Hut, as a private business, has the right to make such a rule and enforce it.
On the other hand, WE have the right to voice our objections to such a stupid rule and refuse to do business with them unless and until they change it.
And if youd like to voice YOUR opinion about how Mr. Honeycutt was treated, you can call the Pizza Hut corporate office at 1-972-7700 or give them a pizza your mind by emailing them through their website at http://www.pizzahut.com/contact/feedback_other.asp
You can also quickly and easily locate the Pizza Hut franchise store near you - along with their phone number - by going to: http://www.pizzahut.com/locator/.
I just called the store in my neighborhood and spoke with the manager. I explained that my family would no longer be dining in her restaurant and why. The womans response was, You should call the corporate office. That incident in Indiana has nothing to do with us. To which I responded, Well, it does now. Cause you just lost a customer over it. Maybe YOU should call the corporate office.
Something tells me she will...

You're not talking about that place on 8th and Broadway, are you? Eccch.
Today, a magazine is that box loaded with cartridges.
The clip basically is a cartridge clip for an M-1 Garand.
That's the simple version because my movie and dinner is on in a couple of minutes.
I have eaten Pizza Hut's version of pizza exactly 3 times in my life.........once in Sarasota, FL, once in Dover, DE, and once in Oak Hall, VA. The last because my daughter earned a gift certificate for a free pizza for her reading at school and there was no saying no to her.......
Making our daughter happy overrode both my husband's and my aversion to the place. We have since been able to convince her that other places have better food!!!!
I never ate pizza in the City - only in Brooklyn.
A magazine is the removable 'box' that is used to reload a pistol or some rifles. An empty magazine is removed and a full one popped in to replace it.
A clip is a metal strip that holds ammo that is 'stripped' off of the clip into an internal magazine. The military M-1 is typical of this style. The media commonly confuse the two. (but then they think an AR-15 is a machine gun also.)
I think that Pizza Hut is crap. No loss for me.
Lawd, girl! Where have you been? If they were to try to cut routes to "dangerous areas", they would be sued for racial discrimination!
I extra large pizza with 15 rounds, $9.99...sweet!
Hehe, cool.
I did not say that was a viable alternative or that it would ever happen- I just said should. And I stand by that statement- they shouldn't have to go to those areas. :)
I am outraged by your firing of Ronald Honeycutt, a Pizza Hut delivery guy from Indianapolis.
Mr. Honeycutt was a licensed firearms owner and was exercising his 2nd Amendment rights. In addition, he was, by fending off an armed attacker while in your company's employment defending his person against violence.
His firing is an outrage. I wanted to let you know this and also that I am joining with thousands of others throughout my community and the nation in a boycott of your enterprise.
In fact, I will never buy your products again.
I agree this was wrong but I am guessing they are not the only one with this policy.
AMEN
You've got it! Nailed right on the head!
No I'm not a sales agent, I just love Unos!
If so, post privately. Please avoid arguing over a matter of misunderstanding when it comes to gun parts. As long as you both now how to safely take apart, clean and load your firearms. That should be enough to show you credibility!
