Jim Robinson, his wife and his son will visit with the Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic on June 10th. All Austin area freepers in good standing are invited to come for this meeting.
The event will be held in my home in Lakeway TX, just a bit north and west of Austin. The meeting will start at 6PM, and dinner will be served. Freepmail me for directions to my house.
We are asking each guest to bring a covered dish of any kind--this is potluck--so whatever shows up is what we will eat--LOL!
We are also asking everyone to bring photos and videos of freeper events that they might have. We will spend the evening visiting with the Robinsons, talking over old times, as well as looking forward to the elections in November, which should make it a lively evening!
Things are getting hot and muggy in Houston, as usual this time of year.
Your land looks great! It is pretty and peaceful and perfect for your future plans. They have been cutting down all the trees in our area by The Woodlands and it is depressing to me to see hundreds of acres of mainly old pine trees decimated. Up until a few months ago I was surrounded with trees, but they took the swamp land behind us and tore down every tree so they could raise the soil level and build expensive houses.
My dh and I are going to sit on our back porch roof and play Leon Redbone christmas music as it is the worst music I could think of (wouldn't have married dh if I'd known he would bring that kind of music in my home,after all I have standards to maintain) really loud to keep anyone from wanting to buy right behind us. If ya'll see some white trash on COPS sitting on their porch roof playing terrible music real loud, just wave back at us!
I had some land over by Tomball, but I decided that I liked the oaks better than the pines, although I made some money off the pines.
I started making the arrangements to get power to my place today.
Lots of details, but God and I will get there.
Amidst the whispering of the wind in the trees, I knelt and gave thanks today for His blessings.
All is right in God's world.
The time for JimRob's visit is getting closer. I need to have an idea of how many are planning to attend the Austin area meeting. If you haven't already done so, please freepmail me if you are planning to come--and for instructions for getting to my house.

Please let me know when Jim will be in SA. I'll take some time off to attend the meeting. Also, I can arrange a little tour of Randolph AFB if Jim is interested in seeing our training Wing.
