This is where the amazing thing happened. When Whitford said, ''President George Bush was at Concordia [University] yesterday,'' the students erupted with applause and cheers. They were cheering for George W. Bush! The University of Wisconsin -- where Students for a Democratic Society, SDS, was born; the place known to be so far left it's off the charts -- had students cheering for a Republican president!

There may be hope for my alma mater yet.
FOR goodness sake the STUPID evil RATS think that by smearing OUR president in a daily bases will somehow erase the pictures of the terrorists bringing down WTC! They saw the terrorists use our OWN planes to bring down the WTC, they saw the flames, the bodies jumping out the windows they SAW IT ALL WITH THEIR VERY OWN EYES!! These pictures have been greatly IMBEDED in the minds and memories of millions of youngsters! My son has told me repeatedly that he'll never forget those live pictures on the TV that morning we were attacked! There are millions like him in high schools and colleges around the nation who witnessed those horrific scenes!
Wow, the liberals will have to fight to cut off the grads right to vote, just like they did in 2000 with the military.
YOUR BUSH SLAP REALLY MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saved that one, and I will share it!!!!
Thank you...thankyou...thankyou!!!!
The liberals are so frantic that they're making the big mistake of shoving lies so fast and furious that they're way too obvious.
The grandkids of the liberals may be the next Great Generation!
haha ! Thanks ! I sure WISH that video included audio. I'd love to hear what clintoon said.Clintoon: "Okay, now that's done. Where are ya'll keepin' the interns these days ???"
Hey, there is the GHW Bush pushing Bubba yesterday video, fyi (#16) .....
It makes sense generationally speaking. Just like the Boomers grew up and rejected their parents community-oriented, conformist and unified society, this new generation looks like it is going to reject their Boomer style individualist, chaotic, no rules allowed upbringing.
I have to say, a great article.
I'm not sure if any of you know this, but there were in fact nearly half-a-dozen commencement ceremonies at UW this year, and I think all at which Bradley Whitford spoke.
I didn't go to the commencement ceremony the author mentions (College of Letters & Sciences, Majors A through H), but the one 4 hours later for those of us in International Relations through Zoology.
That's right, I'm a reasonably conservative member of the UW-Madison Class of 2004. It was pretty wild hearing a decent amount of people cheering for the President at Madison, but as earlier people have said, you'd be surprised at how many conseratives there are at UW.
On the whole the school is definitely still pretty far left, but the silent majority is composed of moderates and conservatives. A reassuring fact for the handful of sober people in the generation which preceeded ours - and tried to ruin everything.
Additionally, although it seems small for a Big Ten school of 44,000 students, as of May 16 there are 44 more UW-Madison graduates serving as new officers in the US military. This includes the most Navy and Marine officers commissioned from UW-Madison since WWII. The USAF commissioned 22, of which I am one, the largest ROTC program at the university.
Whoops ! I just recalled that was SATURDAY at the WWII Memorial Opening ceremony, not yesterday.
There are a lot of good kids out there, and I think they will surprise us when the time comes to throw their shoulders into the load.
Outstanding news.
BTTT
I think it's interesting that as soon as the students applauded, the speaker skipped the rest of his Bush rant and went straight to the other part of his message.
I think it's disgusting that these liberals are so partisan they would ruin the students' graduation just to spew their agenda.
Great video, Howlin. Where did that happen? I checked the FoxNews site, but couldn't find it.
