"Who is the church to say who can and cannot get communion?" said Greg Van Hyfte, 27, carrying a rainbow-hued umbrella prior to the services to fend off a driving rain. How stupid can someone be? The Church distributes Communion to practicing Catholics who adhere to Church doctrine. If you don't like it start gay church and do whatever you want, and PLEASE DON'T TELL ME ABOUT IT, I PROMISE I WILL NOT TRY TO JOIN IN!

Since when is Communion an entitlement?

Since the left convinced all wacko fringe groups that whatever they want is an "entitlement". Its sort of like the time the woman in front of me in the grocery store paid with food stamps and then got into a new Lexus, no doubt bought with some of my tax money she was somehow entitled to.

The volatile issue of denying Communion to Catholics who disagree with church teachingsI fail to see why this is so volatile.
Homosexuals who feel the need to flaunt their lifestyles as pleasing to God can go to, say, the Episcopal Church. Leave the rest of our churches alone.

You are right! In fact Jesus was clear in I Corinthians Chapter 11 verses 24-34 on the subject. So if they take it, well "many sleep" refers to death.

The poorly catechized deviants are welcome in the
ACCUS.

Thank God we are finally starting to clean up the Church the right way. Get rid of the extreme persistant/destructive sinners until they repent and live their lives as the way God outlined for humanity and all of these problems will go away. Amen.

Why can't we all vote on what God ought to do. Who says he ought to set the ruels? /sarcasm

Thank God!!!! It actually appears there's a touch of saltiness left in the Catholic Church. Again, thank God!

"...but we're not good enough to receive the Holy Eucharist." You got that right.

I fail to see why this is so volatile. It's not. The press is publishing agitprop as news.

"We're good enough to be blessed, but we're not good enough to receive the Holy Eucharist." Sinners can be blessed without condoning the sin. Christ said, "Go and sin no more." Not, "go and do whatever pleases you."

Who is the church to say who can and cannot get communion? Proverbs 18:2 A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions.

Homosexuals who feel the need to flaunt their lifestyles as pleasing to God can go to, say, the Episcopal Church. Leave the rest of our churches alone Their intent is to split the Catholic Church just like they did with the Episcopal Church
Just like they are doing with Gay Marriages
They don't give a flying hoot about religion .. It's ALL about them

"The bishop just said 'God Bless,"' Joe Murray, a spokesman for the American Sash Movement, said afterward outside on the cathedral steps. "We're good enough to be blessed, but we're not good enough to receive the Holy Eucharist." That is a matter of opinion. I personally think those who act like this are fortunate they got a blessing!
They weren't really interested in receiving the Eucharist, they were just being in your face demanding as usual.

"It's sheer hubris," said Lonnie Chafin, who -- like more than a dozen other gay Catholics -- came to the most visible church in the diocese to display his displeasure. He wore a rainbow ribbon, a gay symbol, and was given Communion after some hesitancy by the priest. You're so right, Lonnie, but the hubris is YOURS and your sash-aying compatriots for pulling a stunt like this!
