Pelosi: I Showed 'Great Courage' Bashing Bush
NewsMax.com ^ | May 30, 2004 | Carl Limbacher

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Sunday that it took "great courage" for her to bash President Bush two weeks ago as "an incompetent leader . . . who has no judgment, no experience and no knowledge of the subjects that he has to decide upon" - explaining that she leveled the incendiary criticism to help U.S. troops in Iraq.

"I made the statement that I did - and I think with great courage, if I might say about myself - because I am worried about the troops on the ground in Iraq," Pelosi told "Meet the Press."

"Believe me, I said this for the troops. I said this for the troops. [It was] a cry for help for the troops," she insisted.

Remember that cult in San Diego .. the leader of that group had the very same open-eyed stare .. it was eerie!

"Has she no idea how pathetic it sounds for a politician to praise her own supposed "great courage"...."

Maybe she's hopin' she'll get some of those fancy ribbons/medals that Kerry got.

"Democrats beleive they deserve"

That's a great point.

In Rich Lowry's book, "Legacy", he makes a statement about the group of people the Clintons gathered around them for their admin. They believed they "deserved" to rule because they were smarter than everybody else.

Rich concluded that most of the anger at losing in 2000 came from that "entitlement" attitude - and these elitists became angry that the "little people" didn't appreciate their ruling skills and instead elected a "stupid cowboy".

And .. in her own state .. Camp Pendleton Marines have paid a very high price in Iraq; I believe this group is the Najaf, Fallujah, Kufa, bunch - just recently deployed.

I would bet she has not DONE ANYTHING TO SUPPORT THOSE TROOPS OR THEIR FAMILIES.

She is so childish. Is it too difficult to present an intellectual basis to why she thinks GWB might be unsuitable? Instead she thinks it is more expedient to a character assignation. That proves how stupid she thinks the voting public has become.

What sucks is the media will just give her a pass as this in normal for the Democrats to run their show. God forbid if a Republican lost their color.

"Liberals think it takes more courage to speak out against a war than to actually fight in one"

That statement was so great it deserved repeating!!

"disgust at what these people are saying and doing in time of war"

Several of the WWII people that FOX interviewed in the last few days have all pretty much commented on what the dems are doing and how disgusted they are with it.

>>>I don't think this is the terrorists doing.

Sure it is. That was part of Bin Laden's plan all along. Sow the seeds of division within America and its western coalition and hope for a quick pull out of their military forces. In fact, that is the plan of terrorists everywhere. Terrorism breeds defeatism. Terrorists understand that some people just don't have the guts for fighting. If it saves one life, the anti-war crowd would rather appease and capitulate, then stand up and fight for what's right. The slogan, freedom isn't free, doesn't enter into their lexicon or thought process.

>>>I think it is just a natural alliance ...

I don't buy into that crap. I believe the terrorists are directly responsible for their actions. Just as the anti-Bush crowd are responsible for their actions. The fact that right now, one is feeding off the other is by a coincidence of events and not a mutual agreement.

I'd call it more of an unnatural alliance.

"don't support the policy of regime change in Iraq"

And .. I find this incredible .. since it was their beloved Slickmeister who came up with the idea. However, since Bush is for it also .. it suddenly became a bad idea. How transparant is that ..??

Did anyone notice that after the interview Pelosi thrust out her hand to Russert for a shake?

The way she did it seemed odd. Her arm was as straight as she could make it, as if she has some quirky behavior that way. An eccentricity perhaps.

More interesting was Russert's response. He barely touched her hand. I wondered if Russert was perhaps thinking about the appearance of impartiality and how shaking Pelosi's hand on camera might compromise it. Or maybe he just doesn't like her.

On a more minor point, did anyone notice that Pelosi appeared to have two eyebrows for each eye? The crease her eyelids make when her eyes are open look like third and fourth eyebrows.

It took great courage to get in line to bash Bush, especially having to face her voters in San Fagcisco!! These are the same lines that were used by Kerry's side in Nam. Lola Pelousi is the definition of braindead liberal.

The seeming appearance of courage and just plain stupidity, often look exactly the same to the disinterested observer,

You have stated it succinctly and eloquently! We are in for one hell of an election season in 2004. Pelosi's "meltdown" and Al Gore's rants are only the beginning. I think it is part of the vast LEFTWING conspiracy. From the incoherent and agitated commentaries of LEFTWING POLITRICKSTERS - politicians, journalists, media "experts" such as Michael Moore, and ordinary "liberal" voters (who persist in calling themselves "true centrists", we who oppose them have a LOT of work to do between now and election day.

It is going to be difficult at times to avoid responding in kind to these irrational maniacs as they step up their hysterics and histrionics a hundredfold throughout the summer and fall! ANY LIBERAL MOLES OUT THERE LISTENING IN? BRING IT ON! YEAAAARRRRGH!

The other Democrat war hero......

Until the most recent stint on the operating table where she received the scars visible in this photo, the heroic Nancy Pelosi, minority leader and extreme California liberal, was winning the war on aging. Alas her skin could be stretched just so far. She now must face the daily conflict with cheek bones that threaten to penetrate her super taught face.

No medals tho, La La land surgery is self inflicted and unlike the self awarded medals  of Senator Kerry none will come her way.

Ol' Sharp Cheeks..... one too many times on the operating table.
