"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
Goodnight to you and thanks for being here. You are appreciated.
Same thing that makes me lay on my back and twitch before I run off: AN ITCH! :~)
G'nite!
Alleged terrorist arrested in Jolo
The Philippines arrested a Moro with links to a local militant group and seized improvised explosives, preventing an attack on a ferry in Mindanao, navy officials said on Monday.
Captain Geronimo Malabanan, navy spokesman, said the man was caught on Monday during a raid on a suspected hideout of the Abu Sayyaf group on the island of Jolo. Another man escaped.
Improvised explosives, bomb-making materials and documents were found hidden in the ceiling of the house, Malabanan said

I HAVE A VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY,
VERY
strong bias that
we should commit to one another and ask it of all newbies
to avoid hitting the abuse button unless and until JustPiper, Mama Dearest and a few other original stallwarts have all said it's useless having tried at least 7 times to resolve things otherwise.
AND THEN,
WE TROOPS SHOULD LEAVE IT UP TO JustPiper to hit the abuse button.
If someone is too troublesome to handle, we should be able to give them enough of a cold shoulder to freeze their . . . wellll l l both sets of cheeks off.
I for one, would like JustPiper and vetted crew were put in sufficient charge to delete posts on their own. But I doubt that will happen any time soon unless higher powers give it some careful and alert thought and realize the sensibility of it.
So, we will probably have to serve clear and certain notice on obstreperous types and obstreperous excesses on our own parts to SHUT UP when fitting.
Dunno. Maybe fell, got shocked, hit by a bird of prey, cat, etc.
Rabies?
Clown training???
LOL.

This site has some interesting things.
Goodnight everyone. See you tomorrow, I hope.
I wondered about electric shock. That does seem to make the most sense, doesn't it?
I didn't think about rabies.
It wasn't lying directly under power lines. It was at the base of a huge oak tree.
Oh well, Goodnight Nully and everyone.
OMG-now we are moved to news. ROFLOL. Okay, that's it for me. I'll try to bookmark so I can find us tomorrow. :)
One more:
There will be a large scale terrorism exercise in Sydney's south-west today.

Yep. Back in News!
Re: The squirrel, you've ruled out clown training?
Which remindes me. I was attacked by a mockingbird today...

Guess we'll rule out clown training but I'll keep an eye on it. LOL.
What'd ya do to the mockingbird, Nully? :) BlueJays are obnoxious and one used to attack my Chow.
Sure hadn't thought of epilepsy. Thanks.
I keep an eye on the animals this time of year due to West Nile. Was walking with a friend when we found the squirrel.
Thanks for the interest.
See ya tomorrow. :)

FOR the past five years, Gold Coast couple Magnus and Sheree Johansson endured living a world apart so they could build a future together.
On Sunday, they were separated forever when Mr Johansson, 50, was killed in the terrorist siege in Saudi Arabia.
He was due to return home to the Gold Coast at the end of the month to celebrate his wife's birthday.
The talented Swedish-born chef was among 22 people killed when al-Qaeda terrorists took over the Oasis residential resort compound in the eastern oil city of Khobar.
Helicopter-borne Saudi commandos stormed the complex to end the 24-hour siege but a number of hostages including Mr Johansson were shot or had their throats slit by the terrorists.
At least three of the four terrorists were on the run last night.
"It's senseless bloody crap Sheree is devastated," Mr Johansson's brother-in-law Paul Talbert told The Daily Telegraph last night.
Mr Johansson migrated to Australia from Sweden in 1987 and worked as a chef at one of the Gold Coast's top international hotels, the ANA in Surfers Paradise.
He met Sheree there and they married in 1991, later travelling to Vietnam where Mr Johansson worked as an executive chef at another big hotel.
After returning to Australia in 1998, he landed a lucrative job cooking at the Oasis Resort.
"Sheree and Magnus had bought a home at Ashmore [on the Gold Coast] and they wanted to secure their future," Mr Talbert said.
"Magnus was aware of the risks of working in Saudi Arabia and did not want to expose Sheree to those risks. It was very hard for them but Magnus decided to go over on his own. He came back twice a year for four weeks to visit her.
"He was meant to be coming home on June 27 for his next visit and to celebrate Sheree's birthday," Mr Talbert said.
He said the family was unsure of the details of Mr Johansson's death but had been told by Australian officials that he was shot either by the terrorists or in the chaos of the commando raid.
"We've been told he was conveyed to hospital still alive but died shortly after," Mr Talbert said.
Mr Johansson's body was likely to be returned to Sweden for burial.
"Magnus's father died recently and now his mother has lost her son," Mr Talbert said.
"She is elderly, so Sheree's thinking at the moment is that the funeral will be held in Sweden."
Mr Talbert said the fact that the Johanssons did not have children was a mixed blessing.
"At least more children haven't lost their father but it doesn't make it any easier for Sheree," he said.
"But we also know there are many other victims' families who are suffering and our thoughts are with them too."
Mr Talbert described his brother-in-law as a "lovely bloke and a great cook".
Good night liberally conservative.
I will keep you and your grand daughter is my prayers Mama Dearest.
Prayers for such.
Wholeness and peace, His comfort to all.
