I thought when the recent stories about Padilla were posted - they indicated he was with Atef in Afghanistan and then Atef was killed when his house was bombed, and Padilla fled to Pakistan.

I read Spirit Daily way before Drudge every day (I also read FR way before Drudge now, too!). Once upon a time I went straight for Drudge first. Not any longer. Spirit Daily is so interesting and also so sad with all the evil that is going on in the world. I think you referred to Mike Brown and Spirit Daily back a while ago, if I remember correctly. Yeesh, after I said all that, I hope I am not mistaken!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that poor Father Groeshel and even Mother Angelica before him, they are suffering so much. Such good people and they seem to have way more than their fair share of hardship.

I believe I heard that also. There were reports about Atef's death. It just doesn't square with the FBI keeping Atef's pic out there with no update. Maybe, somehow, they are not 100 percent certain? Perhaps some of the new weaponry used obliterated the bodies and there was no "control" dna to match Atef to? I am no expert by any stretch, I am only guessing.
