Well, it definitely was a fnord that caused me to omit Chef Carlo's name on the donor list above.

Actually, I kinda like having a fnord around to blame everything on. I can't see him, but I'll bet he's a cute little devil.

See the little Dutch girls in #17?

Hope you, our good Dutch freeper friend, can join us next cruise.

I think getting off the Zuiderdam was Fnord to the nth degree.
First, we walked out on dry land yet reeled and swayed like there were still 20 foot waves.
Fnord was the reason a cab traveling 2 miles to the airport with 1 person in it costs $6 and that same 2 miles with 6 people in the cab costs $36. Would New Yorkers put up with Fnordism like this!
Fnord is the cool air that NEVER found its way out of the airconditioning vent in the cab.
Fnord is the place porters are gonna end up in who forget to load one of the bags in that cab causing Cindy to have to race back to the docks in search of it barely making it back for the flight.
Fnord is why they wanded and searched me at airport security but the lady in the burka sailed right through.
Fnord is the marquee sign that said flight 1090 to Atlanta at gate #6 when the flight was actually boarding at gate #9.
Fnord is why they serve those tasteless tiny pretzels.
Fnord is what’s behind those little flaps on the conveyor belt your bags pop out of, and major Fnord is the feeling in your stomach until you see ALL your bags pop out.
Fnord is the echo of the silence back at home, till everyone yells, “Welcome home Mom!”.
... and Fnord is the trickle of sand that fell from my beach bag when I unpacked.

Speaking of little Dutch girls, does anybody have a picture of Bob J wearing the hat with the eyes cut out? I feel fortunate that I didn't have a mouthful of red wine when he pulled that stunt.

regards,

All you FReepers who missed the cruise..... see what fun you are missing out on. Even a seemingly boring thing as "Dutch Night" was turned into an event-not-to-miss by us fun loving FReepers. And our table being over in the window alcove.... none of the other ship's dinner guests even knew what silliness was going on.

Thank you very much! That one is a keeper and I've backed it up on my server so it won't vanish into the aether.

We had the best time with the Freepers. The boat that diotima chartered was just perfect, we would have never done that if we were on our own. And the helicopter ride over Nassau that fooman arranged was great.

Vacations are much more fun with a pack of co-conspiritors.

regards,

Oh, I must correct you my dear. It was not silly (was it?)
We had so much fun just being with other freepers and forgetting the cares each of us had. I do look forward to another cruise with just the same people plus many other freepers who want to have a great week of fun and rest.

Kudos to our FReeps Ahoy 3 Cruise Committee who labored in the vineyards these past five months to get this fantastic voyage put together in good order.

Special thanks to Doughty One, our Cruise Webmaster who created all the wonderful cruise threads complete with so many interesting and colorful photos.

Also thanks to committee chairpeeples Diotima, Hoosiermama, Utah Girl, Bob J, Seeking the Truth and Bush_Democrat. Great job, freeper crew!

Hugs also to those who pitched in on board....Mykdsmom.....Dalereed......and the master ship-builders of our victorious contest entry, the USS FReedam.

Plus our gratitude to all enthusiastic spouses, family members and friends who also pitched in on board to make this such a fun and interesting event.

Thanks also to Wanda and the travel agency folks in her office who pitched in to sponsor our complimentary cocktail party.

I'm so proud to be associated with every one of you wonderful freepers, honorary freepers and lurkers.

(clapping hands)

Leni, Cruise Chair
