CNN reported "speculation" that Al Qaeda prefers Kerry; Center for American Progress urged: "E-mail Kelli Arena"
On CNNs Wolf Blitzer Reports on May 27, CNN justice correspondent Kelli Arena reported, "[T]here is some speculation that Al Qaeda believes it has a better chance of winning in Iraq if John Kerry is in the White House." The Center for American Progress (CAP) reported Arenas statement on its Web page titled "The Progress Report": "Yesterday, CNN Justice Department correspondent Kelli Arena spread the unsubstantiated myth that al Qaeda has a preference in the upcoming U.S. elections." CAP noted, "Arenas comment came on the same day Kerry called for 40,000 more troops in Iraq." CAP posted Arenas e-mail address, urging readers to e-mail her "and tell her to stick to the facts."
Arena failed to report the source of the "speculation" that Al Qaeda favors a Kerry victory in November. But it is consistent with claims made by national security adviser Condoleezza Rice following the March terrorist bombing in Spain that some believe led to the ouster of Spains pro-Bush prime minister in elections three days after that attack. As reported by Suzanne Malveaux on the April 18 broadcast of CNNs Inside Edition, Rice suggested that not only do the terrorists prefer Kerry in November, but they will likely take action to bring about that result.
Malveaux paraphrased Rice, saying: "[I]t is a serious concern of this administration that terrorists may try to strike during the November elections here. That they may have looked at the situation in Spain, where you simply had -- essentially had a pro-American, pro-Iraq war leader ousted for someone who took the opposite position." Malveaux reported that Rice "even going [on] to say that it is almost an opportunity that perhaps is too good for the terrorists to pass up."
As previously reported by Media Matters for America, Rush Limbaugh, on his March 15 radio show -- a month before CNN quoted Rice -- made the following statement:
So the only real question is, if Al Qaeda's active and capable, what are they going to do? Because we know what they want: they want Kerry, they want the Democrats in power. They'd love that -- I mean, based simply on what they're saying and how they're reacting to what happened in Spain. I'm not guessing.
As Media Matters for America noted on May 2, Reuters reported in March that an apparent Al Qaeda letter stated that the group supports President George W. Bush's reelection: "The statement said it supported President Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader 'more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom.' ... [The letter added,] 'Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilization. ... Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected.'"

And what does the Weekly World News say about the alien? Who does it endorse???
>"[T]here is some speculation that Al Qaeda believes it has >a better chance of winning in Iraq if John Kerry is in the >White House
This just in my inbox from a hillary@iwannabepresident.com, er, I mean this just in...
(April 14, 2004): The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?....I oppose the U.N. or anyone else risking the lives of their citizens to extract us from our debacle...the majority of Americans supported this war once it began and, sadly, that majority must now sacrifice their children until enough blood has been let that maybe -- just maybe -- God and the Iraqi people will forgive us in the end.
The friend of my enemy is my enemy.
CNN must have received a memo to TAKE HIM DOWN.
Can somebody hand CNN a big ol' cup of DUH?
Man, can't Nader get an endorsement from anybody?
Realistically, who would they really prefer in the White House, the guy who's been killing them or the guy that will negotiate with and try to "understand" them?
Al Qaeda's real fear is that if Kerry gets elected he'll bring thousands of French troops to Iraq.
I heard that statement on CNN (Don't stone me for that. I like to know what the enemy is up to.) I could not believe my ears. I thought: "What? I bet CNN fires her."
How can we capitalize off of this?

Ms. Arena must have had a better offer from FOX 'cause she sure won't be working for cnn much longer.
LOL I wonder what did Kerry do to pi$$ off CNN. He probably threatened to tax them or something. This is sweet!!
Terrorists Cheer Kerry's Rhetoric
http://frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=13211
Hmmm, lets see his credintials here:
1. He has absolutely no convictions but blurts out whatever flits in his tiny brain at the moment - only to flip-flop on it later.
2. He has shown repeatedly that he hates America and has voted repeatedly to cut critical weapons funding time & time again
3. Ditto item 2 for Intelligence funding
4. Claims he was a 'war hero' in Vietman but on return home began a campaign of lies & smearing fellow servicemen which added aid & comfort to American's enemies.
There are many many more reasons for these terrorists to love him but suffice it to say Kerry is an extremely weak character to lead the Nation at this critical time or ever; Maybe he can be better suited for another country i.e. France???
Gosh, I really hope I'm just paranoid but from what we've been seeing & hearing these past few months I really have some very serious doubts about the DemoRatz as it draws near to November elections.
