It seems to me if there is even a small connection between 9/11 and Saddam that is all the justification needed for the war in Iraq.

Hayes "THE PRESIDENT CONVINCED the country with a mixture of documents that turned out to be forged and blatantly false assertions that Saddam was in league with al Qaeda," claimed former Vice President Al Gore last Wednesday. "There's absolutely no evidence that Iraq was supporting al Qaeda, ever," declared Richard Clarke, former counterterrorism official under George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, in an interview on March 21, 2004. The editor of the Los Angeles Times labeled as "myth" the claim that links between Iraq and al Qaeda had been proved. A recent dispatch from Reuters simply asserted, "There is no link... |
I thought Batchelor was being facetious when he said this (I could be wrong) - as if to say "sure, we'll be seeing this guy on meet the press to discuss this".
maybe he will talk about it again tonight.
I heard this and as usual this is being aired on a Sunday where nobody is listing to news. I'll record it and wait to see if there's anything to this.
The libs would deny any connection, even if they saw a video of Osama and Saddam together.
Now, back to the 'real' news: The poor mistreated widdle tewwowists having to wear panties on their heads at the Iraqi prison. [The lib media will try to squeeze another week out of this.]
I will be shocked if this guy is interviewed on Meet the Press. I also hope its true, however.
For those of you who have not heard the John Batchelor Show, it is great. They often talk about things going on in the Middle East that is not reported for a week. Here are a link since it is on WABC in NYC. Excellent guests and topics http://wabcradio.com/listenlive.asp
I heard it mentioned last night as well. Sounds like a great book.
The NBC news website says Nancy Pelosi and Bob Dole on Meet the Press this Sunday.
I wouldnt be, but I would be shocked if the press gave this any play.
This Sunday, Steven Hayes will appear on NBC's "Meet the Press." He will be interviewed by one of the best political talk show hosts in the nation, Tim Russert.
There are people in the United States government who do not want you to see this interview. Why?
Because his book, "The Connection," outlines dozens of factual connections between the WTC attack on September 11, 2001 and the government of Iraq.
But I thought There Was No Connection Between 9/11 And Iraq...
This is a myth. All along, the CIA knew that al-Qaeda needed financial backing from a nation-state. Afghanistan provided safe haven, but Iraq provided the money.
What kind of Connection Is This?
Hayes has documented evidence discov ered by the U.S. military, supported by foreign intelligence agencies, that connect the Iraqi Intelligence Services with top lieutenants of al-Qaeda.
Why Does It Matter?
Because both presidential candidates are trying to hide these facts from you. John Kerry wants to be elected President so he is trying to discredit any justification for the Iraq war. George Bush didn't want to confirm it because it would require harsh measures in Iraq, undermining his re-election hopes. And Congressional Intelligence Committees don't want you to see it because they have known about this connection for years, and failed to protect America.
If you care about holding the government responsible for its intelligence reports and the protection of the United States, you need to watch "Meet the Press" this Sunday. You'll never see the Iraq War in the same way.
No way...it's too late now. You can't bring that proof in now unless you get a waiver from the Guardian of all that is truthful, Senator Ted "lie after lie after lie after lie" Kennedy.
It's a useful piece--but he is wrong, I think, about two things--there was an Iraqi, but not an AQ connection to the TC bombing and the 1995 plane incident.
Should read WTC bombing..
I bet he won't be on 60 MINUTES.
I haven't noticed Bush trying to confirm or publicize any weapons findings.
At some point the administration will publish a report setting out all of the WMDs and other evidence, including perhaps confessions by Saddam. This will be much more dramatic and persuasive than dribbling it out piece by piece.
Batchelor is confirming this Sunday on MTP - Hayes will be part of the panel discussion. Just heard it now.
Good news!
the media will discredit it. that is the main obstacle, the white house let the bleeding go on too long, they allowed the media to set in the minds of most americans that the reasons for going to war were all false. its going to be very hard to overcome that, 160 days before the election. not that I am saying he shouldn't try, but its not going to be easy.
