I could imagine the waitress, if she's being vigilant after seeing the photos all over TV and the web, making conversation to see what the response would be.

And how did the "We're from Iran" work its way into the conversation? Maybe someone asked them. I asked one of my engineers yesterday in passing where he was originally from, and he is from Iran. He also reads FR so a big HI to him.
