The FBI office in Denver has received 'numerous' calls about the seven people believed to be associated with Al Qaeda pictured Wednesday in the newspapers.
Samuel Mac, manager of the Denny's in Avon Co., said two men-he subsequently identified from their photographs as Adnan G. El Shukrijumah and Abderrauof Jdey-came into his Denny's which is just off Interstate 70, Wednesday about 8PM.
One ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad, the other just a salad, Mac said. They were demanding, rude and obnoxious, he said.
They said they were from Iran and were driving from New York to the West Coast.
Monique Kelso, spokswoman for the Denver FBI office said they had recieved at least a dozen calls about the pictures.

"I have had the opposite response from FBI people when I have called several times, they listened quite intently...then I never heard from them again."
Chances are you never will learn the disposition of your calls either, unless someone makes a big mistake.
The attentive agents were doing exactly what they are supposed to do. They listen and then take relevant investigative steps silently.

Of all the eateries in this country - they pick Denny's Yes, this is most damning. It's right out of the al Qaeda manual. They must already have their activation orders, since those are communicated by the arrangement of butter pats and cheese wedges on plates at Waffle House, a virtually unbreakable cipher to the literate.
We have already entered the Denny's phase of operations. Be very afraid.

Had they stopped at a 7-11 they never would have been noticed. They could have gotten hired
Or if they stopped at a motel, or now, gas stations..........

"I am so sick and tired reading about FBI agents who don't want to take tips from citizens - and treat them like trash. these agents should be fired immediately."
Today we may read about the seeming indifference of agents in response to every good citizen's report but we also need to keep in mind that free press means that everyone has access to the news, not just vigilant, good citizens.
Another thought on the subject

There is something in the eyes of most of these jihaddis. I cannot quite put my finger on what it is. I'd have to say it's the look of contempt.

And a damned ugly (and stupid) one at that.
Which, in the bizarro world of IslammaWhammaDingDongs, probably represents their best hopes for eugenics.

When he called the FBI in Washington, D.C., Mac said the man who answered the telephone said he had to call the Denver office and declined to take down any of the information.
When he called the Denver office, he was shuttled to voice mail because the agents were busy, Mac said. It was five hours before a seemingly uninterested agent called back.

**Kelso said the Denver FBI office has received at least a dozen calls about the pictures. The calls are all taken seriously and "we follow up on every lead," she said.
But she said the FBI has no reason to believe any of the seven are in Colorado or traveling through**
Maybe they should check in Oregon!
