I agree...maybe it's the sight of a rapper wearing that bizarre hat that gets me.
He is pro-Bush and God Bless 'em for that.

Yep, don't mess with Texas.
CMA just came on out here on the westcoast, I guess I will have to take my ban off of CBS for tonight.

Bless randy Travis for dressing up for the event. Clint Black knows how to tuck in his shirt, too.

Big & Rich. Not my cup of tea either. They have another song out (Wild West Show ) that is quite a bit better IMHO.

Was it last year that Toby Keith got totally stiffed, or was it the year before? Anyway, I was glad to see his awards, as he totally deserved them all.

Amen.
Is Country Music big amongst Samoans?
The Rock (as opposed to Kid) is something of a conservative is he not?

Terri Clark ruins it every time for me. Every song she's ever sung is about what big turds men are. Gal's got a real problem. I could take one or two songs like that from her. It could even be funny. But every song? I'll pass.

Give me Waylon, Willie ,Merle.or David Allan Coe anyday. Now that is country music.

American artists, it seems, don't know how to overcome the great adversity that arrives along with great success. Alan Jackson, a giant at one time, has just sung a tune which would at best qualify as a B-side of some forgotten 45RPM single by a Bobby Vinton. Brooks and Dunn keep repeating their winning/boring formula. Reba (great tit show 2night), the greatest female country vocalist in probably 50 years, what has she done lately? A TV sitcom? What a waste.
Other than Reba's decolletage which would be in a category of its own, I still haven't heard any country music tonight.

She is been doing some great soulful music lately. Alison Kraus's singing reminds of Irish folk songs.

I am surprised they gave Toby all of these awards, he has been getting robbed of them so it was nice to see Toby get his due.
