On May 26, Director Mueller and Attorney General Ashcroft held a press conference to call renewed attention to 7 individuals we believe pose a real and present danger to U.S. interests around the world--perhaps most especially this summer and fall, a time of high profile public events that may well serve as a lightening rod to terrorist attacks. Director Mueller spoke frankly about the heightened threat to U.S. interests during these months, and equally frankly about strong FBI efforts to prevent attacks. "This summer and fall our nation will celebrate a number of events that serve as powerful symbols of our free and democratic society." he said. "Unfortunately, the same events that fill most of us with hope and pride are seen by terrorists as prime vehicles for sowing fear and chaos." "We need the support of the American people," he said. First to cooperate when called upon, as agents will be reaching out to many across the nation to help gather information and intelligence. Second, to be aware of your surroundings and report anything suspicious. Third, to "BOLO" for those pictured above. In Director Mueller's words: "Have you seen them in your communities? Have you heard that someone might be helping them to hide? Do you have any idea where they might be? If so, we need you to come forward." If we could massively distribute 8x11s of these BOLO terrorists, the WOT could be much more effective on the domestic front. There would be a visual reminder...a much more in your face reminder.
Professional and polite are the key words. The main point is we want them to put the photos up, rather than shame them and prove some kind of point. If it results in the terrorists capture, we are all winners, and they, the American mosques who cooperated, can get some of the credit.
I would urge any Freepers who thought they might not be able to control themselves, to stay away from this exercise, and leave it up to those of us who can get it done correctly, with that tactical aspect fully in mind, which you illustrated well.
They needed to finish their news conference today with a DIRECT APPEAL to DEFINITIVE, QUANTIFIABLE ACTION which people could take and would make them feel empowered, rather than the usual "be aware of your surroundings" vague, crap.
"My fellow Americans, in conclusion, we ask that those of you with access to the internet and printers, immediately print your own copies and distribute them to stores, churches, clubs, mosques, schools, rental car agencies, anywhere you see fit to spread the word. Please keep a copy of the photo with you in your automobile or place of residence. We can all have a positive impact, as the eyes and ears of National Homeland Defense. How do they get photos of these people? They looked so posed..."Please come over here so we can take your photo and then ask the American people if they've seen you..." I realize that some of them are from drivers' licenses, but where else would they get them?
Sounds like we need a couple Americas Most Wanted episodes on FOX....
The image on the right looks like Mr. "Pearlman" spent some time in a training camp in Afghanistan or in some "religious studies" in Pakistan. You can really see a change in his body fat % that would be in line with spending a lot of time in a place like Pakistan or Afghanistan.
I also wonder if he was a Jew that converted?
That's interesting -- the picture on the right also bears a slight resemblance to Richard Reid, the shoe bomber from Great Britain.

Getting your local shops and stores to post these photos is a start. I know my car's rear window will get one.

Actually I just read his bio page and it looks like he was raised Christian. I wondered if he were Jewish myself when I read his name but then again I fall back to my old ways of profiling.

One of them is a Saudi native who lived in South Florida. Adnan El Shukrijumah (ahd-NAHN' el SHOOK'-ree-joohm-HAH') is believed to have helped mastermind the Nine-Eleven attacks. He is of particular interest because of his familiarity with the country and his ability to speak English.
I have not previous heard that he was involved in 9/11--is this new info?
That guy on the left end looks a lot like Mucky al Sadr to me.

I can recognize Lynne England anywhere-with or without the dog leash and cigarette, because every media outlet showed her picture 24/7.
I saw the photos briefly at the press conference and I bet we will not see them again.
Maybe they should have photoshopped them with panties on their heads.
In fact, they should have said the photos were those of more abused prisoners, if they wanted them to get media exposure.
The antiquated media has their agenda and it's not to inform the public of the identities of national threats.
I'm listening to my talk radio guy and he is pointing out that one would think this would be the Big story of today.
That they would want people to have easy access to get the pictures of the these terrorists and get it out to the public right??
