Over the weekend, mountain biking on his ranch, in the 16th mile of a 17-mile track, the President took a spill on ground that had been loosened from recent rain. With the Presidential physician nearby, he was patched up and resisted efforts by the Secret Service to transport him to the Hospital. He hopped on his mountain bike and rode back to the ranch.
The President and First Lady boarded AF1 after the hop from the ranch to TSTC to fly to Connecticut for celebratory dinners for Barbara Bush's graduation from Yale today.
The President will give a prime-time speech at 8 PM EDT tonight but has not asked for "time" meaning that it is voluntary for the stations to decide to carry his speech or not. The President is expected to give details relating to the turnover of Iraq by the end of June, and continuing Military presence in the region.
Waiting for the President's speech before supplying the "quote of the day".
Here's what the President is expected to discuss:
White House spokesman Scott McClellan said "The president looks forward to going to the Army War College to talk to the American people about the clear strategy we are pursuing in Iraq, and the steps we are taking to achieve our goals."
The spokesman added that Bush would outline efforts in five key areas -- politics and elections, security, reconstruction and diplomatic -- "to move forward on the transition to a free, democratic and peaceful Iraq."
"He will specifically talk about the new government: what it will look like, how it will function," when it takes over on July 1, White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett told NBC television.
Ping!
An early Dose to avoid the pressure I might feel, putting this up following the President's speech tonight.

'He had minor abrasions and scratches on his chin, upper lip, his nose, right hand and both knees,' White House spokesman Trent Duffy told reporters.

Top Ten, Excellent!
Top 10? Can't wait for the speech tonight. Go Dubya Go!
I believe the line is "...two kinds of mountain bike riders. Those who have fallen and those who will." Road/trail rash is a badge of honor among most of the riders I've known. It usually means, no matter your skill level, that you've tried to go beyond your level of skill.....or got bagged by a terrain feature that won't get you in the future. Of course it has to be followed by getting back on the bike.
"Nice road rash Mr. President...dude!"
There are a lot of good pictures out there. Noticed them yesterday and today.
Howdy TNT...poor Dubyuh sure took a tumble, didn't he? I hadn't seen a close-up until this thread...MUD
Ouch! that's some pretty rough looking road rash on W. Reminds me of me after a bike wreck in my younger years.
Barbara Bush looks good in spectacles, just like her daddy.
They can't.....Didn't Ol'Horseface fall on his bike a few weeks back?.............
Whoa! Looks like our President now has a "soul patch!"
BIG DISCLAIMER. I repeat - I have been unable to verify due to Fox News' hazy coverage, whether Kerry really said this. But a Democrat spokewoman - or something said that IF Kerry said it, "it was a play on an earlier comment he'd made." Since I can't remember right now what she alluded to, I didn't think it was a "clever" play on words. Then again, to be truthful, I rarely think anything JFnKerry says is "clever" - just nasty, rude, harsh and stupid.
Howdy MamaB. Glad to see you here. Been praying, hard, for you.
Truthy
I didn't want to wait until after the President's speech at the Military War College - as it would be so late for us East Coasters. Besides, this way, we can "get" the discussion of the President's "ouchies" out of the way. LOL! ;o)
