I believe the line is "...two kinds of mountain bike riders. Those who have fallen and those who will." Road/trail rash is a badge of honor among most of the riders I've known. It usually means, no matter your skill level, that you've tried to go beyond your level of skill.....or got bagged by a terrain feature that won't get you in the future. Of course it has to be followed by getting back on the bike.
"Nice road rash Mr. President...dude!"
At least Dubya didn't blame his Secret Service Guys, like Kerry did when he fell snow boarding :-)
Now that's interesting and I'm sure there are many bikers ridiculing Kerry's caustic comment.
Frankly his 'badge of honor' had me cringing when I first saw his photo.
