Thank you for your warm welcome (to everyone!). I'm doing much better tonight than last night. mrstank and I had a great conversation just before I went to bed - I slept well - she is agreat friend. Tonight seems to be a difficult nite for her.
I can't decide which is worse - sitting here just waiting, but in the comfort of my home, the company of my children, extended family and friends, and hot homemade meals; or being over there away from all those comforts but knowing exactly what's going on (he always says he's safe).
Isn't that a coincidence? I have to be up and on the road with hubby for a two-hour drive to his doctor appointment. He has to get his Defibrillator checked. That includes stopping his heart to make sure the thing will restart it. So it makes me nervous enough to go with him, even though I hate mornings. Be careful and report in when you get back.
AND...that very picture sits on the shelf right over my computer so I can see it and be reminded of a very special event in my life and of my favorite Sistah of the Spirit (except when she tries to tell me that Mama loved me best).

Hey MrsMike, I was so afraid that you wouldn't come back. I had this vision of you finally registering and logging in and after one post Free Republic crashed LOL. After your bad weekend I figured that would send you screaming into the street "I'm cursed! I'm cursed!" Somebody find that Yahoo link and post it for MrsMike and mrstank so they will know where to go to find out if a failure is Free Republic or their computer.
No, Sistah, actually we have to go to Ashland, Ky. There's only one doctor in this entire area who installs the defibs and his office is in Ashland. Thanks for your prayers. I covet them always.

| OPERATION CONVOYS Who: Our Troops (specifically those in the Transportation companies) What Is Needed: Our Troops keeping the supply lines going are in need of basic necessities, reading material, candy, letters of encouragement, and anything else you can think of. They are sometimes unable to return back to their base of operations due to terrorist attacks or other adventurous Iraqi issues. Who Do I Contact: Brad's Gramma, Kathy In Alaska, or MoJo2001. We need people to email our Troops with words of encouragement or a simple "Thank You" or "We are thinking about you". Very simple, but very effective. If you don't have money to spare, NOT A PROBLEM. This is cheap, free, and easy. We all like that, huh? Hi Tonk. Thanks for that contact list. It really is helpful. I currently send e-mails to a Marine who is the son of a friend. He's near Fullusia.
