On May 8, at the county's "Gay Day" event in Dayton, Tennessee, police arrested two christians as they were fastening the beams of one of their ten-ffot crosses, which they often use in parades arond the nation in order to draw people to Christ. Without incident, they were arrested and charged with "disorderly conduct" and "interfering with a special event." They were both freed after posting the required $500 bond. Dayton police chief Kenneth Walker admitted to reporters "They wanted to go down to protest and we told them they couldn't" "they were arrested;that's it."

It must be the End Times when a Tennessee cop arrests Christian protestors against a "gay" day "special event" ( I dont want to know what that special event was either)!!!
What were they thinking? Where was their 55 gallon drum of urine that was needed for "artistic affect"?
This is so sad for our country, that one could get arrested for carrying a cross to remind people that they are sinful.
On the other hand, I can't help but note this is what Jesus intended - "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Seperating sides has a long tradition and is 100% Constitutional. Get over it.
Won't be long now and there will be a call to arms.
This is the county that tried to pass an ordinance charging homosexuals with crimes against nature or something.
Well, at least you're consistent.
Who, me? I wouldn't do such a thing. I'm well aware that "some animals are more equal that others."
That arrest was a violation of FREE SPEECH, which I thought was protected by the Constitution. Excuse Me, but have gone communist while I was napping?
Are you truly that thick, or are you obfuscating? This not a "seperation." I have participated in many protests where the police placed themselves BETWEEN groups to prevent violence.
This is altogether a different tactic. This is stifling protest and is BLATANTLY unConstitutional.
Actually the reason they were arrested is because they dared protest an entity that held political sway in that place at that particular time. The excuse used is "Time, place and manner" restrictions on free speech and assembly.
You can read all about another example here.
Yes, we have.
Not by birth, but by action. At least we're not all pigs...
I see. People you don't like don't have the same rights you do.
And they'll think you shouldn't have the rights they think they should have.
And then no one has rights. Perfect.
If they'd carried an Islamic flag, I bet they would still be allowed to protest. Sign of the times.
Radicals like Nazi's and the KKK have been allowed to march through primarily Jewish areas and other places while the police were told to keep the peace while they marched.
What happened here, in my opinion, is a "caving in" to "special interests" who probably think themselves so "special" that no one should be allowed to protest their little "get-togethers".
He paved the way for the seemingly immutable legacy of Earl Warren, William O. Douglas, William Brennan, Thurgood Marshall, ad infinitum.
We are now a populace that is captive to the whims of an unaccountable group of lunatics, with no firm grasp of the original intent of the United States Constitution.
"Get over" living in America and move to China where you belong. This was a cross on private property.
BTW, you're the troll that wanted women in combat because you couldn't see the difference "4 ounces of flesh" make in military performance ... weren't you?
