I live in NYC which as you know is a pretty liberal town. On 911 I was uptown in Manhattan and I watched it unfold on TV in a laundermat from the street, and I tell you everyone who was watching it was bashing Clinton. And if you remember the next day I think it was, they showed Clinton in harlem on TV getting bashed personally by these group of women, "Why didn`t you do anything for 8 years Mr. President?" (Notice how many times they have shown that on TV since) And Bubba was stammering away, "I did everything I could..bla bla" This ain`t no secret, everyone of those idiots on this commission know exactly why 911 happened, it`s called 8 years of appeasement, but they don`t care about that do they? Only their freggin` agenda. This is like a security guard who is on shift for 8 hours at a bank, and in that time the bank gets robbed over and over and over and the security guard does nothing, the customers say nothing, and then his 8 hours are up and he`s replaced by a new security gaurd. The new security gaurd goes to his post and before his first hour is even up, the bank gets robbed again so he pulls out his gun and chases down the robber, and what does he get for it? "Why did the bank get robbed?" "Why didn`t you stop the robber before he robbed the bank?" And to top it off half the customers start berating the gaurd.

I read where the small but vocal 911 families who do NOT represent the majority were reinforced by Kerrey's New School students for the applause meter.

There was no excuse for Leyman's boyscout remark

There is no excuse for Lehman.

Easy to figure out...
The union "leaders" do not like working for their members-
They like and take their marching orders from Demonrats.

I think some of the bile being thrown at the firefighters/policemen is payback from the demonrats for
their humiliation of hillary at the 9-11 ceremonies-
i.e. (she was booed off stage).

I will say it again- most Demonrats in Minnesota could care
less than 2700 New Yokers died. And are actually happy
the pentagon was attacked!- They hate America-they hate
Christians - and will bash/insult my country/my religion
any chance they get.

The only thing I can say, between clenched teeth, is that I am glad that the 9/11 commission showed what absolute backstabbing, potshotting a-holes they are, by attacking people that the ENTIRE nation agrees are heroes.

May the 9/11 commission hacks go down in history as the most disgraceful bunch of bumbling and slanderous characters ever sequestered in one 'Rat hole.

I hope a large majority of union members from around the country who are kerrey supporters and democrats were watching this circus. Maybe it's enough to make them realize what their party actually stands for--and it ain't pretty.

Ooopps, Hillary is NOT on this panel. My bad. She'll be pulling the strings though.

Whew -- I was thinking, "Oh my gosh, how did she get appointed to this? She's everywhere!"

I was surprised it was attributed to Lehman, sounds so liberal - come in and second guess, pass judgment and seek to fix the blame and not the problem.

Do you suppose he is now at a point where he said this just to drive the final nail in the coffin of the commish?

This ranks up there with farting in church. Laughing at the Vietnam wall. Taking a leak on a grave in Arlington.

It is so absurd as to be incomprehensible.

What makes me angry is the applauding 9/11 families. Those brave policemen and firemen who ran into the burning buildings are heroes. Heroes worthy of our respect.

Al-Qaida killed your loved ones, you silly, vaporous family members. Don't you understand that? Instead of seeking a scapegoat here at home... and diminishing the memories of your loved ones, casting dispersions on those who gave their lives trying to rescue your loved ones... why don't you focus some of that anger on the true villains. Al-Qaida.

I've had enough of it.

The NY Post is correct... Those firemen and policemen are heroes...and 9/11 families, your behavior is inexcusable.

The unusually harsh attack by Lehman, as well as biting comments from other commission members, touched a raw nerve with firefighters, many of whom lost friends and colleagues on Sept. 11, 2001.

On Lehman's "Boy Scout" crack, Stanford said, "Obviously the person who said that is not a firefighter, a police officer or a Boy Scout."

The fire union also came to the defense of Von Essen.

"I think he was offended they were questioning our ability to work together when we effected the greatest rescue in history," said Uniformed Firefighters Association President Steve Cassidy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ungrateful accusers once more attacking America's best and brightest, exploiting the suffering of other's for personal power's sake.
Shame on today's un-American, cowardly, cruel, dishonest Democrat party.
These people (9-11 "Commission") sicken me.
This country is gonna be in a world of hurt if there is a Kerry/Kerrey ticket and they succeed in winning the White House.
Commissioner Jamie Gorelick pointed out that only this past Friday, Mayor Bloomberg announced a new chain of command for handling emergencies — more than 21/2 years after the problems of 9/11 were exposed.
"My red light is on," Gorelick said. "I remain troubled by how long it took and by the timing."
As much as my red light is flashing over the timing of this commission. To borrow a phase from another Freeper.
JUST DAMN.
9/11 Commission = Gorelick
Now you know why she was not made to step down!
Now you know why she has not been held accountable for her part in the 9/11 terrorist acts!
Now you know who is running the 9/11 Commission from behind the scenes!
My son has a subscription to Boy's Life magazine. If I am not mistaken there was at least one Boy Scout who lost his life helping rescue people during 9-11.
This commission is an embarressment to itself.
You forgot that in this word, as in the 9/11 commission, there is an "ass". Of course, in the commission there are a lot more than one.
"My red light is on," Gorelick said. "I remain troubled by how long it took and by the timing."
English is estimated to have about 1,000,000 words, but we need a new and stronger one for "shameless."
Here's a few for starters, according to thesaurus.com: abandoned, arrant, audacious, barefaced, bold, brash, brassy, brazen, cheeky, depraved, dirty, dissolute, flagrant, forward, hardened, high-handed, immodest, immoral, improper, impudent, incorrigible, indecent, insolent, lewd, outrageous, overbold, presumptuous, profligate, reprobate, rude, slutty, unabashed, unashamed, unblushing, unchaste, unprincipled, wanton
