Three Cheers for the Post headline.
I hope the American people are actually paying attention to the reprehensible statements and behavior of the leftists on this kangaroo court.

INSULTING THE BRAVEST AND FINEST OF NEW YORK AND THEIR INCREDIBLE, SELFLESS SERVICE AND HEROISM IN 9-11 IS JUST SO LOW AND DESPICABLE!
THE 9-11 COMMISION IS A JOKE! THEIR OPINION IS NOT WORTH OF DOG SPIT!
HOW UTTERLY DISGRACELFUL!

Any INTELLIGENT person would stop digging once they found themselves in a deep hole.
Slade Gorton is an idiot.
The "Families of 9/11 Victims" are 4 bitter, partisan beeyotches.
Yet another hit piece. How long will America stand for this moronic witch-hunt?

Hubris has now done in this commission. They have me so mad here in Hawaii in so many directions at one time. No wonder my headache isn't going away.
Lehman blasted it as a "dysfunctional system . . . It's not rocket science. It's just overruling the pride of certain agencies."
This is as apt desciption of Congress as I have ever read. Who has been responsible for hamstringing our agencies? None other than Congress more often than not. Did members of Congress roll up their sleeves and dig in to help? No, they cut and ran when they thought there might be anthrax in an office. It invokes images of George Costanza pushing women, children and clowns aside to escape a small fire.
Since they are investigating the past, why don't hey go do an investigation and see why there were commincation failures at Pearl Harbor? No one ever expected an attack of this mangnitude. Learn from mistakes, correct problems detected and go after the true bad guys instead of trying to feed on people who gave all trying to help.
Oh, the crack about the Boy Scouts... If they read Boy's Life they would learn how scouts did help out spontaneously on Sept. 11th and some did die while helping. This commission wouldn't know a hero if their lives depended on it.

The headlines that will amaze me will be "The commission figures out how to improve communication in a disastor when 2 way radios are the normal usage...
The commission finds a radio which the manufacturers guarantee works always through concrete, debris and steel.
The Commission discovers how to have many extra thousands of 911 calls coming in and answered and responded to immediately.
The Commission is eternally grateful to the brave men and women who gave their lives trying to rescue others, the remarkable response of many others." I'll be waiting

Kerrey . . . said, "19 people . . . defeated the INS, they defeated the Customs [Department], they defeated the FBI, they defeated the CIA."
Wrong, Mr. Kerrey!! President CLINTON, your hero and "glorious leader" is responsible for defeating the INS, the Customs [Department],the FBI, and the CIA. He cut the budget and administratively tied the hands of these organizations so that they COULDN'T be effective deterrents against AQ.
Most Americans get it about Clinton and his catastrophic policies that allowed 9/11 - why don't these "commissioners"? Can we say "political agenda"? I knew we could.

I guess we can expect the Commission members to be falling all over themselves as they rush towards the morning news shows for their interviews.
Again.
To: MEG33; kattracks
They reached a new low today,
even for them.
MAYBE today will help others see
what a disgrace they are and what
a witch hunt to "get Bush" this panel is all about.
Damn them.

In another testy exchange during the hearing, commissioner Bob Kerrey asked former WTC director Alan Reiss if he was angry about not being told enough before Sept. 11 by the FBI about the al Qaeda terrorist network. "Things might have been different had they trusted you enough" with information about the terror group, Kerrey suggested. Reiss shot back that he was angry at "19 people in an airplane" the hijackers not the FBI. This is second-guessing upon second-guessing to expect the WTC director to be angry about not being told before 9/11 about Al Queda. Good for Reiss for actually blaming the terrorists who were responsible, instead of engaging in this ridiculous second-guessing game.

"My red light is on," Gorelick said. "I remain troubled by how long it took and by the timing." English is estimated to have about 1,000,000 words, but we need a new and stronger one for "shameless."

Between the Generals having to testify and the commission articles, I am misspelling all over this site..."disaster" There was no excuse for Leyman's boyscout remark. This grandstanding for the crowd is a disgrace.
