LOS ANGELES (AP) Police responding to a tip raided a single-story home and detained 79 suspected illegal immigrants they found inside.
Three to four suspected smugglers also were taken into custody Monday, said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman.

As John & Ken would say, this is definitely a clown house.

Interesting how this story has been reported anywhere from 79 to 300 illegals.
Deceit and misinformation have become a fine art. Of course, ignorance about integrity has much to do with this also.
I had heard between 70 and 80 yesterday.
Trick mirrors?
Obviously these folks have never been to Farmingdale Long Island.
Oh yeah, that's right. They haven't been there, or pretty much anywhere else where there's an unsustainable amount of illegal aliens soaking up public services.
My mistake.
Plenty of clown houses in my neighborhood. Its great to get up in the morning and seeing Achmed, Muhammed, Fatima, Omar, Quisay and their 20 children coming out of the same small wood frame house.
You bet, we heard about two hours ago that when the heat showed up, many were bailing over fences and scattered through the neighborhood. They never had any idea on how many were actually in there.
Ummm.....this is in Cali. We know all too well what it's like to deal with an unsustainable amount of illegals.
Unfortunateley, in the name of "leaving business alone", our elected officials refuse to do anything. They have decided that it is ok to give up our state, and the country, so some farmers and contractors can have access to cheap labor.
Amazing, isn't it, how few people take notice of this problem - even here?
We've got to stop illegal immigration. Before it destroys us.
It occurs to me that a simple reallocation of existing resources could find every house used for these purposes in almost no time. Most police choppers have sensitive infrared sensors to detect likely greenhouse operations. Add a device to distinguish high concentrations of carbon dioxide. Voila!
I would love to see some before and after photos of the insides of these houses in nice neighborhoods.
I'll bet these house owners are having to hire multiple crews to clean out the trash, wrecked insides and stopped plumbling left behind.
Once I talked to an apartment manager who told me how a bunch of mexicans had done a slaughter job on some chickens in the bathtub of their apartment..feathers all over the place.
All of the guest-worker laws passed in the 80s-even ones that were intended to limit the costly byproducts of this influx, such as the Wilson-Panetta bill-only seem to have exacerbated an already untenable situation on the border.
My own humble suggestion is that we reestablish the draft. However, instead of applying it to the Armed Forces we use it to establish an entirely new immigration enforcement agency.
It would be killing two birds with one stone; creating some much needed jobs-in an area of government that could actually use some expanding-and cracking down on the illegal immigration which is spiraling out of control.
"drop houses through out the valley, all in good neighborhoods, they were house rented out by absentee landlords."
Oh, I understand that scenario...and I have a feeling it's all over the country. Last spring I sold my home in Oregon. 2 homes had been bought on my street and filled with illegals, their lean-to shacks, goats, fighting chickens. The local "authorities" wouldn't touch the problem. Short story....the mess across the street cost me $50,000.00 because the neighborhood had deteriorated so much in just a few months. The house next to one of these messes, was new and they lost about $100,000.
This is not acceptable to us as Americans, yet it doesn't seem to cause one bit of concern to our "representatives" (they're surely not representing us). Wait until the Mexican trucks start rolling, it will be ten times worse.
I remember at 19 living in a 3 bedroom apartment with 7 people (typical way to save money in college), and we had to have a duty list to keep things under control. And that was only 7 people.
Aunt B sorry to hear about that $50,000 loss !!!
Maybe I should consider selling while I still can.
I am here in NC where the influx of mexicans has reached astounding proportions. My neighborhood flea market has so completely been taken over by mexicans I no longer feel comfortable there. (The men watch and mutter and I don't speak Spanish). Goats are a hot item around this county, many more are advertised for sale than there used to be only 5 years ago.
