I see they're getting the guns from criminals and gang thugs. [not]
The church and [political] organization most have become is exactly why I won't step foot into a 'House of God' to practice my religion. I'll keep things between the Lord and myself just that; between the two of us. I practice my politics on FR and the voting booth among other places.
No Bible-thumping collection plate phony is going to dupe this "Gun" into taking politically charged action, disguised as being part of the religion, that furthers an anti-liberty agenda.
Wait a minute, was that last statement about this church or the Muslim extremists who attack[ed] us??

The church in the middle of the infamous Near North Side public housing complexDemocrats with guns is a frightening thought. As long as they want to turn theirs in, God bless 'em. I'll hang on to ours, though.

Johnson said three of the guns he collected were turned in loadedThose people are obviously better off not having guns (and we are better off for it, too--people who do't know #### about gun safety should not have them; if they've reached middle age while owning them without bothering to learn, they're lost causes).

This doesn't bother me too much - anyone who would voluntarily turn in a gun is probably:
-a criminal dipsosing of evidence - good! we obviously didn't catch him anyway and now he's less armed.
-getting rid of defective equipment - again, good!
-stupid, which is fine with me. stupid people without guns are less dangerious.
Or all three!

"The blessing is that these individuals felt the need to want to turn in their guns, with no incentives," Johnson said OK, I've turned my guns "in".. they are either facing the interior of the
house or the interior of the truck. How does this help? Can I have an incentive?

Texas gun owners can turn their guns in at the Eaker Compound.
I am not hard to find and I will treat said guns the way that they should be treated.

Gun - it's like everything else. Some are crap and some aren't. Find the right church and you'll also find a lot of blessings.

In the Church I attend, the message is straight from the Bible, the collection plate is not passed, it is in the back for anyone who wishes to donate. Gun ownership is encouraged from the pulpit, open carry is allowed, and those who carry concealed are thanked in private.

"We've only gotten one gun so far, but we've gotten 60 over the last six months," Pfleger said at his South Side church. "We need to continue fighting for stricter gun laws and hold gun manufacturers responsible. At the same time, the faith community has to continually challenge our communities to get rid of the ones we already have out here."
Churchs have tax exempt status only because they are SUPPOSED TO BE nonpolitical. It would do Illinois and US coffers good to remove this "so-called church" its economic benefits, which by definition others must burden.

Father Flaky is certifiable think of a Col. Kurtz type with a collar and a mission to save the black man all by himself. He is literally up the psycho river without a paddle, and yet the liberal media treat him like a saint.
