I cannot find fault with your historical synopsis, or the scenario you have pieced together.

This is the unmentioned or rarely mentioned reason for going into Iraq. This is the complicated but true nature of our task.

Iraq, with it's history of having a small but alive Christian community and women in the position of power, was the best possible choice in the middle east for a nation that we could shake up and try to re mold.

Success or failure of this enterprise is based largely on our political will as a nation. Politics will control the outcome.

In my view, failure is not an option, as your scenario will play out if we do. But,I do differ with you on the point that it will play out regardless. I believe that there is a potential to change the face of Islam.

A nearly impossible task, but one that is certainly worth trying to accomplish, as a world wide religious war is something we must avoid if we can. The ramifications of such a thing would set our society and our progress back on it's ass for a generation or more.

We must be willing to pay the price today, because the price of failure in this endeavor is high, very high indeed.

Now just HOW are we, the Sheeple, supposed to complacently recline back in our hammocks, half asleep, ignoring everything but the buzzing of the bees, the smell of the freshly cut grass and savoring our cold drinks on this beautiful Sunday afternoon if YOU are gonna keep ginning up all this hateful, scary stuff like THAT about our 'poor Iraqi 'brothers'...???!!!

OH. You WANTED us to feel uncomfortable...? You think we NEED to wake up...?

Excellent post!!!

Don't mean to be too picky, but I was anticipating eight (8) "paragraphs." These are eight "steps" or whatever you might want to call them. Bump for later reading and digestion.

OMG!-- Are You trying to tell us that the Entire "IslamoFascist Jihad" is based on, "PENIS ENVY???"

How Droll.

&, Sadly, there MAY BE an element of truth in that Thesis.

So, How does one "Castrate the Rabid Hoards??"--one REMOVES their "Source of Power!"

Mecca, Medina, Qom, & a few other "Nexus' of Power need to CEASE TO EXIST.

NOTHING "Deflates a Man" Faster than the Eradication of the Source of his Erotic Dreams.

Just a Thought

The men and women of the US that elect to serve and defend are portrayed as depraved sexually and as baby killers.

If ever a whirldwind were deserved it would be on account of the millions of innocent lives we've snuffed out for the sake of "convenience."

Pacifism is the art of making a virtue of the vice of cowardice. Pacifism has a very bad history of leading to more bloodshed than wars do. When Chamberlain returned to England declaring peace in our day, he condemned the millions of Jews, Catholics, gypsies, gays to slaughter. England and Europe did not avoid war. Instead of armies fighting, Germany brought the war to the civilians of England and many were crushed as the buildings of London crashed down on them.

Thanks for the post.

More of them AND more of us are going to die.
Without Islamic reformation, the world is looking at a blood
bath the likes of which WW I pale in comparison.

well, while you are syncretizing one great lump of history into one giant conglomerate rock, I would make this point:
the current view of the litterati is that the struggle with the islamic extremists isn't really directed at the west...it's really about a power struggle within islam between the moderates and the radicals...a fight for the islamic soul. i disagree...i think this is a continuation
of a war that has gone on for 1400 yrs...the west gained the upper hand c1700 and by 1800, the west was so dominant that the islamic threat has been largely forgotten...but THEY'RE BACK.

it's a war of civilizations.

oh, the other day on tv I saw the new robot made by honda. it was amazingly flexible. now, it undoubtedly has many flaws, but who knows? i could well see a future where, having aborted our biological children, our robotic kids slay moslems and negate their "population weapon"

lets face it....mass production made the west!

A large number of the Mongol leaders were Nestorian Christians. Too bad the Crusader states didn't ally with them or teach them the importance of horse shoes.

You summed the current situation up perfectly.

Now let us focus on the counters and solutions to this problem. The first order of business is to keep the President in office.

This means we have to work HARD to re-elect the President and also give our troops complete and total support

Our first and foremost priority is to let our guys over there know that we support them and their mission to combatting terrorism

Write letters, hold rallies, do whatever we must do, but we cannot leave our people hanging out there wondering are they being supported back home

Thank you for posting these very insightful thoughts.

Nicely done post, thanks.

My own addenda:
Those who do not practice abortion (e.g., Muslims, Latin-American Catholics, etc.), are poised to take over via sheer numbers, so abortion may soon not be a problem. Unfortunately, it will come at the cost of the ideas upon which this country was founded. Neither Latin America nor the Muslim world has a history of setting up governments even close to that of the US of yore.

Great article and goes along with what many have been preaching for some time now, gives me hope. I sure hope that lib on fox news reads this, "Al Comes." People are going to believe only what they will until they are convinced otherwise with truth and fact and even then some won't. America is in danger and that is a fact.

A culture of backward fanatical barbarians , with access to technology, a willingness to commit any atrocity to anybody is coming into conflict with an advanced civilization decayed by feminism, socialism, elitism and loss of faith.

That just about sums it up. Great essay, thanks for your efforts!
