It's a troll all right, but not the way that you all think.
This has been a running battle on the PA board for almost 3 weeks and this person is using most of the arguments that we have made in favor of voting for Joe Hoeffel in order to get rid of Arlen Specter so that he cannot contaminate the SJC.
I believe that it is most likely a "I'm voting for Specter because he has an R after his name" Republican that is trying to make our arguments looks like those of an illiterate.
I don't believe that it is a DU dummy because from what the Specter team reports, they are excited and would more likely cheer us on than to sidetrack our effort to elect this one particular Democrat.

I am almost as bad as Box in that department. I doubt they are deliberate. I am not sure what Box's game is -- yet. I think Bush is in trouble, but it is ludicrously early in an election that will be driven by events, and he thinks the election is near over.
Don't defend boxsmith13. His defeatist tone and misspellings are rampant. Spelling mistakes are not a problem unless they seem to be deliberately done in order to present conservatives as stupid. Negative takes are part and parcel of the game. But his seem to be pitched to demoralize the GOP. Many have challenged him about this, but he won't respond.

If he's not, then you're shooting yourself in the foot. This is Specter's last term, in all likelihood. Be careful who you elect as the incumbent for 2010.

In all likelihood Arlen will get the SJC chair. He will do way more damage to the conservative cause there than Awful will do as a jr senator from PA.
AS I mentioned he's already vowed to fight W on any conservative point.
For moderate pubbies, lefty pubbies and all ratz...Arlen is the man. For any pubbie with any amount of conservative in their blood, Arlen has been and will continue to be a disaster.
PA has become a battleground. Ironically the cradle of American socialism - we're a commenwealth after all - as well as unionism, may become an important stage for the conservative movement. Espeically so as we work to purge the pubbie party of RINO's.
Let's look at one more thing. You might say at least Arlen will go along with W some of the time but Joe will never vote for a W initiative. Some truth to that, however Arlen will only vote with the pubbies when it suits him. On important, conservative issues he will vote no, and may be able to influence other pubbies to vote with him.
In the end Joe does less damage and we have 6 years to work to field a conservative to replace him.
I don't vote pubbie just cuz someone has an R after their name.

This point of this exercise is to remove a very powerful and very defiantly arrogant RINO who will chair the Senate Judiciary Committee and next year, the Appropriations Committee.
Did you know that without the help of Bush and Santorum, Specter would have lost to Toomey? Less than 12 hours later he distanced himself from Bush and declared his independence. A few days later, he voted with the Dems to kill the overtime bill that Bush was trying to get passed.
We cannot rely on someone like this in such a powerful leadership position. It is our strong belief that a first term Dem Senator cannot do the damage that Rino Specter can.
There is no illusion on our part that Hoeffel is any damn good. He just is not as powerful and can't hurt us as much unless the pubbies really screw up and lose 8 or 9 Senate races to the Dems which no one thinks will happen.
