Mr Mohammed, we have a question...

Dear Mr. Mohammed,
Any time that there is a dispute, it is important for a couple of things to happen. One is that both sides try to understand the others positions. The other is that each side needs to prepare for whatever might happen if the dispute gets worse.
So with this in mind, Mr. Mohammed, we would like to ask you a question. We will even give you a bit of time to think about it.
What is your vision, Mr. Mohammed?
Is your vision one of progress?
Do you want to build hospitals, Mr. Mohammed? Schools for your children? Libraries and factories, and yes, even places of worship? Mr. Mohammed, do your roads need repair? Do the waters of your ancient quanats irrigate your fields of cotton, grains, figs, and olives? Have you ever thought that your children might learn and travel the world, and offer their experiences as tragic but valuable lessons to others? Or cure diseases? Or study your noble but bloody history? Is your goal a land of culture and craftsmanship, poetry and promise? Believe it or not, Mr. Mohammed, whether we have a President or Prime minister, a king or an emperor, this really is how most of us live. It's the 21st century!
Because Mr. Mohammed, we have to confess, it doesn't seem that this is what you are working for. We admit we are casual observers. We admit we are ignorant of your culture and your ways. We can only judge by what we see.
Mr. Mohammed, is your vision one of a world where everyone is a muslim?
If it is, Mr. Mohammed, we are truly sorry. We will try to tell you this as gently as possible. This vision is a myth. A famous Arab was named Al Jabr. He was really good with numbers. If he were here, he would tell you:
There are 1.3 billion muslims
There are almost 6 billion folks who aren't
The odds are really, really, really stacked against you.
Mr. Mohammed, it's not a matter of principles. It's not a matter of who's right or wrong, who's weak or who's strong. It's just a matter of numbers. And if Al Jabr was here, I am sure he would watch for a bit and tell you something else:
All of the fighting between the Islamics themselves makes the rest of the worlds job even easier.
So, Mr. Mohammed, you might as well forget about this vision. Ain't gonna happen. The good news is you can still be Islamic! We would support you totally if you just decided to stay at home and be Islamic! Doesn't bother us in the least.
Is your vision one of perpetual war?
We will be quite honest with you, Mr. Mohammed, this is not a good vision. We have stood by and watched while you have slaughtered cousin Mohammeds for the last one thousand five hundred years. And for the same period of time, you have had many arguments with your neighbors who aren't Islamic.
We have watched as you swing your swords, laugh and gloat, and fire your weapons into the air over the butchered bodies of those you've defeated. Calling out to your god, and mistakenly thinking he is proud of you.
Your god will never be proud of you while your women weep and your children starve.
Unless he is a god of war.
And if he is a god of war, Mr. Mohammed, we must tell you something. The joke's on you. Gods of war are selfish gods. They are jealous. They are hungry, and are never satisfied. It will never end, because your god cannot allow it. Whether it is your enemies blood, or your own, whether your parents are mutilated, your children crippled, or your friends blinded, it is never enough to satisfy a god of war. The more you pray to a god of war, the more power you give him, means that much more of your own blood that flows down your streets.
Now we have made mistakes too. There have been wars where millions died. But in fact, Mr. Mohammed, for most of the time, we have actually been peaceful. We have built factories and schools. Invented famous things like cameras and telephones. Worked together and wiped out diseases from the face of the world, diseases that have killed millions. We even have some men who walked on the moon!
And there are still alot of folks who are willing to forgive and forget. That attitude is pretty prevalent in our culture. We have many phrases that show it. Benefit of the doubt. Water under the bridge. Innocent until proven guilty. Let bygones be bygones. We have a deep, abiding belief that men sometimes make mistakes, but can change and be redeemed, and become fathers and lovers and friends once again. Good husbands. Honorable men.
But here is another phrase you should know: FED UP!
This is not just about the Americans. Or Israel. Most of the world has been progressing along quite nicely for the last hundred years or so. The Russians. The French, Great Britain. The Chinese. And many others.
And while you seem to have delighted over your knives and guns, please realize, Mr. Mohammed, that there are things out there that make those weapons seem like childrens toys. Horrible things. Things that would make your god himself tremble.
Making friends is good. Making enemies is bad. And lately, Mr. Mohammed, you have done far more of the second than the first.
So please tell us, Mr. Mohammed, What is your vision. As we said before, you still have time to think about it. But not much.
Because, Mr. Mohammed, if we get FED UP, you might fall asleep one night, never to wake up. And we would not have to fire one single shot. Or explode one single bomb. It would take just a few airplanes flying over your lands, and a gentle, quiet, soft mist of death would descend. And tomorrow, when you should have arose to a new day, you and a few hundred million cousin Mohammeds would not stir. And it actually might be the Russians who do it. Or any of the other countries we talked about.
Mr. Mohammed, we await your response.
Sincerely,
The rest of the world.

I would ask fellow freepers if they want to flame, flame me. It would be very interesting and desirable if any Islamics actually read it and responded.

Good questions!
Of course, my view is that actions speak louder than words...and Mr. M's actions are practically screaming in my ear...

Great Article... How about sending it out to all the major newspapers for 'guest commentary'....(sometimes our Charlotte Disturber prints articles from guests..)

"Do you want to build hospitals Mr. Mohammad?"
We all know the answer to that. In the US muslims are the second largest religion, yet there are Jewish hospitals.... there are Christian hospitals....why are there no muslim hospitals?? What could they possibly be spending their money on????

The line of countries fed up with Islam and Muslims is growing. The article writer puts his $$$ on the Kremlin.

Maybe they will tell us. I have been thinking about this one for a few days, and wanted to crystallize it down to the basics. Would love to hear some muslims responses, but the chances of that are probably not very good.

Well done!
Unfortunately, I believe the time is drawing near for the primates of the muslim world when an event will occur that will make their great grandchildren will speak of the day that the skies grew black with U.S. bombers like the mother of all swarms of locust. How the earth shook and the very air grew hotter than One Thousand Suns. Of how the buildings were bombed into rocks, the rocks into rubble, the rubble into sand, and the sand into dust. Of how the Americans swept across the desert firing endless rounds of ammunition at any soul unfortunate enough to have survived the bombing, and how just as quickly as they appeared, they then left.
The patience of civilization can only be tested for so long.

How about sending it out to all the major newspapers for 'guest commentary'I was thinking the same thing. Polish the grammar and punctuation and I think you've got a winner, djf.

Cripes. Let's hope not. Hell, they bombed the Spaniards. Since when have the Spaniards been enough of a threat to them to deserve that?

I think our biggist problem in dealing with Islamofascists is the attitude of those in our country who think that if we just try to understand them we could win them over and how our foreign policy brings havoc upon ourselves. They are the weak link in our chain of defense and they are interfering with our execution in the war on terror. I am also speaking of a certain Democratic Senator currently running for president who voted in favor for war but did not think our troops worthy of proper funding to execute the war.

My hope was to not at all turn this into a DEM Vs. REP kind of thing. We both have exactly the same stakes in the issue, depending on how Mr. Mohammed answers the question.

The time for questions has passed long ago. You hear nothing from muslims because you are listening in the wrong places. The screams of Chris Berg and shouts to allah are where you need to listen, the silence you hear is but the quite sands of the hourglass falling all around you. We are running out of time and we must awaken as many as possible from this lethargic sleep that has covered our eyes to this most vile enemy. Chase them from your neighborhoods and back into the desolate lands from which they escaped. Tear down the domes in which they spread their hatred in arabic so that we cannot understand the vile lies being spread about our peoples. This is the place where they dance and shout in secret when things like the Berg butchery take place. Unseen they rejoice in our sorrows, tear these places down and send them packing. Send them home to the sands and craggy mountains so that we may send the Angel of Death to them and turn these places into glass. There, I fell better now after getting that off my chest.

The WOT is not really a Dem. Vs. Rep. thing.
It's the fact that some politicians see what could happen if we fight the WOT w/ PC rules. They know that trying to fight an enemy w/ PC rules, that the terrorists don't give 2 *hits about, is a recipe for failure.
Other politicians only see and will do things that are politically expedient and beneficial only for them.
But there's only a hand full of DEMS that are on the winning side.

There are 1.3 billion muslimsI think there are, in reality, a lot fewer. In most Muslim societies, adherence to the faith is imposed by the threat of force, with infidels punished in the most disguting ways imaginable.
Given an actual choice, I can't help but believe that an awful lot of individual Muslims would actually prefer to lapse, if not outright abandon the faith.

I've already heard muslims responses. I spent 60 hours a week for 3-4 months with 11 muslims some of which were born here. 7 of them were wahabbi types, 3 of them were silent but never condemned what the wahabs would say. Only one spoke negatively about Islamists but still thought that the palestinians were victims and the Israelis were the problem. They would "share" their propaganda with me. One article was a that George Washington, Jefferson and Ben Franklin hated the Jews. Another was labeld at the top, "Jews in the US Govt.". It was 5 pages with a name (I remember Robert Rubens), the dept they worked for and after that the word Jew. After being around those pigs. I have to constrain myself whenever I see a muslim!!!

I think you are right.
Many, many of them are held hostage to it. And they fear their own families and neighbors.
