The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to intervene in the same-sex marriages law in Mass. Truly a sad day for America.
The relevent question for the Supremes to address is if it is constitutional for any state to forbid recognition of a (gay) marriage license issued by another state. IMO, they will probably allow this. Thereafter, only a contitutional amendment will set things right.
George Mason
This is the principle that we need to follow. What the Homosexuals want more than anything is public acceptance of their lifestyle. When they come asking for their fake certificates to be accepted, we need to stand up and say "NO, We don't Care what your Certificate Says, Marriage by Definition Can't Include two people of the same sex, Sorry, We don't consider you married."
I am sure they will go on and on about following the law, but they don't do it, so neither should we. We need to show these judges that their immoral edicts carry no force with us AND WILL NOT BE OBEYED. They can't arrest all of us.
Until we fight this like we mean it, we won't win.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I will not accept nor acknowledge any fake "marriage" In anything that I do that might require such acknowledgement I will simply refuse to comply.
"So what have YOU actually done about it? I am waiting."
Easy...I voted for Bush...Need I say more.

He can't, it's up to Congress to approve the Constitutional amendment and send it to the states for their approval.
Bama will probably not be the end destination of choice for most newly knotted gay lovebirds, unless some really cool law firm or the Huntsville rocket place or something has hired one of them. Now Connecticut is just such so easy jaunt down the Conneticut River, or whatever that river is called, and has lower taxes too. And Eastern Connecticut has a great deal of charm, in its own stony soil way.
Doesn't "gander" appear somewhere in that cliche?
No it will be CA. They will go judge shopping and surprise, surprise, the 9th circus is located in San Francisco.
Well I think he needs to make a big issue of it in public. Not just mouth off a single one liner and forget about it. I also know that when the president wants something he can at least get congress to fight over it. After doing that, then the public will step in.
There is an excellent book about how western Christianity refuses to stick to Scripture due to its adoption of intellecual and western paradigms that reject the reality of anything beyond the natural or normal. It is called "The Collapse of the Brass Heaven."
Pretty interesting and gets into the influence of Darwin, Freud, and even Descartes on weakening the church's belief in its power.
Very interesting stories of the eyes of folks being opened to demons in fact being directly involved in helping to promote such things as homosexuality etc. in the church as well. I have not had that experience, but I have no doubt it is real. I remember one verse that even seems to allude to the fact that Satan sends his demons to try to destroy the church from within by having fake Christians etc. work within.
What kind of utter crap is that you moral degenerate?
Disappointing the marriages will not cease, but not too upsetting thte court stayed out of the issue since the issue was the state Constitution, not the federal.
The SCOTUS deals with the federal Constitution.
Quite frankly, it would have been judicial activism if they took the case.
It does...kinda tired sorry.
Ha ha-
Leave poor Justic Souter out of this! Everyone "jogs" in public parks after 9 PM in DC. It's safer than Oslo! I can't get this grin off my face... ;)
I watched Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney (R)(Mormon) on TV Friday night and he said that gay marriages would be limited to residents of the Commonwealth. If you drive to Mass. from Alabama and manage to get married, your marriage can't be legally recognized in any of the other 49 states, from what Mitt said. He also said something like "We can't turn Massachusetts into a Las Vegas for gay marriages..." He also predicted that this issue would end up with the SCOTUS. Mitt seemed depressed about the whole affair. He fought it.
The Alabama reference might be due to the brief publicity down here surrounding a male gay couple from Mobile who flew to SF to get married back in March. The irony is that the South is tolerant towards gays to the extreme. We just don't care, basically. Growing up, we didn't call them queers, we just called them "funny."
Hey, this is the state that brought you Truman Capote!
