For anyone who hasn't yet heard, the Arkansas Hog Wild FReepers are expecting a visit from Jim, Sheila and Chris. I know that they are visiting other chapters as well, but not having their itinerary, we are not sure exactly where Jim's adventures will take them. We thought it would be a good idea to post a thread for the benefit of, not only the Arkansas FReepers whom we have not yet contacted, but also for FReepers in surrounding states who might want to take advantage of this opportunity to meet Jim and his family.
The Robinson's plan to be in Little Rock on June 2nd and 3rd. The "official" meeting will be at 5:45 on June 3'rd at the Whole Hog Cafe in Little Rock. our more or less regular meeting spot, to pig out on the best barbecue in Arkansas. For anyone who can make a day of it, we will all meet for lunch followed by some sightseeing or something along those lines. We are open to suggestions. FreeTheSouth! has expressed interest in interviewing Jim on a radio program in Hot Springs.
We are all very much looking forward to Jim's visit. Please plan to attend and bring a friend or two. Let's all get together and show the Robinson's some real southern hospitality Arkansas style!

"Please keep me posted as to the time and place." The time and place for the evening get together is posted in the main part of this thread. Jim also suggested doing a pre-emptive FReep of the Clinton LIEbrary. We haven't determined a place to meet earlier in the day yet, but will post information here and on the Arkansas board.

Well, well, well! Lookie what the cat drug in. And about time too! Some folks probably were thinking you were permanently lost to the other side, wandering aimlessly about the dank labyrinth of the DUhmmy netherworld.

As it turns out, the Whole Hog cafe just happened to be featured as Arkansas's best in this month's Active Years magazine. Jim, this is mostly for your benefit, but also for those of you who haven't joined us for one of our meetings. For those who have, I thought you might enjoy the article.

The time on the gathering at the Whole Hog has changed to 5:00 although we will be there at least from 5-8.
We are 9 days away. Please mark your calendars and invite a friend or two. A great time should be had by all.
Mark, have you had an opportunity to talk to Jim Holt about being at this meeting? I have emailed him but haven't heard back. Bobbie was going to try and reach him too. We would sure love to have him present to say a few words to the group and Jim Robinson would be a great ally for him in his upcoming campaign. It would be a shame for them to miss the opportunity to meet.
We still plan to meet with the Robinson's earlier in the day for lunch and some sight-seeing and anyone who is able is welcome to come along. We have discussed going over to the Clinton LIEbrary doublewide and shooting some entertaining photos as a sort of unofficial, pre-emptive FReep. We have lots of signs from previous FReeps.

I did see that his scheduler had that on her calendar. I don't know about the new time though. I will check on it.

Well, the new time is to allow more time for visiting and discussion. It isn't imperative that everyone arrive by 5. The reason I asked you about talking to Jim is that so far the rest of us have not been able to reach him. We don't even know if he is aware of this meeting yet, but we sure would like to have him there. It would be a great opportunity for him to meet some more folks and gather support as well. We expect a good turnout. I think there are a lot of FReepers....and other conservatives that would be willing to work very hard to get him elected. Now if we can just figure out a way to neutralize Blanche Lincoln in Pulaski and Jefferson counties. It's looking like she is already cranking up the vote-buying money machine down here. I have to say that I'm glad I won't be in this corrupt, RAT-infested county much longer.
