May 14, 2004 -- Nick Berg, the young American beheaded by terrorists in Iraq, had an earlier encounter with a Muslim fanatic - and inadvertently provided accused 9/11 al Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui with his e-mail password. The bizarre twist was confirmed by the Justice Department and Berg's father. In what one Justice official described as a "coincidental" link, both the telecommunications whiz from West Chester, Pa., and the accused 9/11 conspirator were in Norman, Okla., in 2000.

Sure sounds like an ANSWER front to me.
The lefties are really screeching about how Nick was set up by the US govt. If he really was a "pro-Bush pro-war adventurer out for war profits" they would be dancing on his grave. Check out the "non-violence.org" link on the Prometheus page back at (I think it is) 195.
Not any more.
"Pete Tri Dish" sure sounds like a ficticious name. Tri Dish, for Pete's sake!?
Is there any such person? Is Pete Tri Dish actually Mike Berg? Is this a business license "registered ficticious name?"
"Pete Tri Dish????"
"Pete TriDish" is the admitted alias of the guy who runs Prometheus Radio Project. On a site I passed through earlier today he stated the reason for the alias (apparently created in '96 - this piece of work has been stiring the pot for a few years) was, as he put it, to avoid $10K fines (for running pirate radio stations.) He once led a group who actually beamed a low power FM pirate signal right into the FCC office in DC. I have looked in a few places and based on references he makes in interviews and other news about him, figure him to be between 32 and 38 years old. If I were directing the investigation right now, I would definitely be interviewing him. I would want to establish if he knows Mike Berg and if he ever met or mentored Nick in any way. I consider him a person of interest in this case.
Well I was right on my guess about his age: "Born Dylan Wyrnn 33 years ago in Brooklyn". DEFINITELY a person of interest.
Good sleuthing. Thanks!
However it is less believable to me that he would get up from the computer or let ZM sit down at it while he is logged into an email account.
I would think that he would log out before he lets the other "student" sit down.
Maybe the computer saved his password, but I doubt it.
And he just happens to end up with what the #3 guy of AQ in Iraq. He didn't get caught by other guys, instead he gets caught by this guy.
After not having taken what a free flight home?
Carrying books that were suspicious.
A communications, specialist, possibly radio signal specialist.
Though weighing in his favor is his prior interest and experience in communications which would lead me to believe he wasn't a John Lindh or an Akhbar.
Still I don't tend to believe so much in coincidence.
Also he looks very different in different pictures. His hair even goes from blonde to brown in the pictures.
Best I could tell, the son was a better man than the father is.
I would think one wouldn't climb a tower at night to do repair work.
On a commercial station, you send guys up the tower at any hour to make sure that your station is on the air before drive time. If you have an antenna problem at midnight you will move heaven and earth to make sure that the problem is fixed before dawn.
Jayna Davis on the John Batchelor show right now.
Berg's company installed antennae and radio transmission lines. He worked in the Town of Binghamton just two days before he left for Iraq in March.
From the third week of February through March 12, Berg and three of his employees built an FM transmission tower and transmission lines on Ingraham Road for Citadel Broadcasting's WHWK.

Frankly in Bahgdad, I'd feel a lot safer working on towers at night. You are not conspicuous and are not a target for anyone who does not have a night scope... As long as the good guys know you're there. If the bad guys can't see you, they can't shoot you off the tower. In the daylight you might as well wear a target on your back.
