your dog is allowed to have its own dog house... Actually according the Imam discussions I've read, Islam demands this. Supposedly angels won't visit homes that have animals inside.

Gene Simmons is not your typical drugged out imbecile washed up rock star.
I loved his interview with NPR's Terry Gross.
I posted this transcript recently on some other thread...but the audio is better.

Gene Simmons played the evil Islamic terrorist villain, Malak al Rahim, in Rutger Hauer's movie, Wanted: Dead Or Alive ... he was setting off car bombs in LA, and tried to pull of the poison gassing of half the city, until Rutger put a grenade in his mouth and pulled the pin.
A great performance, quite cold-blooded and malevolent.
Personally, I've never listened to KISS, but Simmons is OK in my book ... especially after reading this.

Muslim women had to walk behind their men.... While this is normally the case, during WWII the women walked in front of the man in northern Africa. The reason was that the place had been heavily mined. But it does go to show that these diaperheads can adapt to change.

The Man. The Legend.
Gene Simmons is actually one of the most intelligent men to ever spit blood and breathe fire before an audience of thousands of screaming fans. When rock stars of the 70's were ruining themselves with drugs and rock'n'roll excess, he was using his earnings to build his own business empire.
He came to America as an immigrant, and used his talents to rise to the top of the game. A role model, if you ask me.

"Ms Carland said she had two degrees, was doing her honours and "certainly do not walk behind my husband"."You live in Australia, Ms. Carland.......you moron. Try moving to Saudi or Iran or Syria or numerous other Muslim countries. If you're too stupid to know that Mr. Simmons was dead-on right, then you wasted thousands of dollars on useless "education".

Chairman of the Islamic Council of Victoria Yasser Soliman said Simmons' comments were "very unfortunate". Having Gene Simmons as an advocate of a favored position is not exactly candy and sweets either . . .

Simmons had a right to free speech, but this had to be balanced against the damage done to innocent people, he said. I neglected that one. I hate it when I do that . . .
What damage? Which innocents? Specifics please. Thinking (wishing) it doesn't make it so . . .

Ha, ha--I've always had a soft spot in my heart for KISS in general and Gene Simmons in particular, though I'm not a big fan or a member of the "KISS Army" by any means. The first rock concert I ever attended in the late seventies was a KISS concert, Van Halen opened for them, I think. Mr. Simmons spit fake blood all over the place and swung his Bass guitar over his head like an axe. Heady stuff for a kid who was *supposed* to be at the skating rink.
Anyway, I've heard Gene Simmons talk on this subject before-he's articulate, intelligent, and on this issue exactly right. He's a foreign policy hawk, and a much needed counterweight to the Dixie Chicks-style silliness that is so rampant in the entertainment industry.
Still think the "unmasked" thing was a bad move, though...LOL.

I saw Gene Simmons interviewed, I think on O'Reilly, a few years ago. He was raised in Israel till the age of 9 or so, and has no illusions about what's going on in the ME.
Put up a wall? You bet. And shoot anyone who crosses over, is what he said. He's a real tough guy.

Gene Simmons is real cool. He starred in the classic flick
"Wanted Dead or Alive" where he played a Muslim terrorist that has plans to blow up chemical plants in Los Angeles. The prevailing winds would then carry clouds of poison gas into the surrounding area. Rutger Hauer plays the hero. Ex-CIA terrorist hunter Nick Randall. This flick is probably more true to life than we even know.
Great flick. Rent it if you can find it. I have it in my tape collection.
Simmons is probably a Freeper, too.
