I think liberal people say "whatever" suits their purpose at the time, irregardless of the truth, don't you?
To: Born in a Rage
So what are the implications of this? That he was either a CIA or a terrorist spy? Or possibly Mossad. Or at least his killers thought he was

"When did you see this on FOX? I wonder if there is audio available????"I can't remember exactly, but I have seen it twice.
I am not sure of the anchor's last name but I am watching him give news now and they are calling him Rick.
I am almost positive he was the one that came on after the comment by the father and tried to clarify that the father meant Iraqi's.

I am more suspicious than ever that maybe his father's statement about Nick Berg supporting Pres Bush and the war was a lie, meant to sidetrack us from the truth....I thought that too but in a couple articles Nick set up the electronics for the RNC 2000 in PA. I'm thinking he was flying against everything his father stood for.

The quote from the Reuters story says:
"I am sure that he only saw the good in his captors until the last second of his life," Berg said. "They did not know what they were doing. They killed their best friend."

We were watching Fox and when I heard about the Moussari contact and the anti-Semitic papers he had on his person, my husband and I looked at each other with the "okay what's up" look?
What I've found disturbing about the whole thing from the beginning was the calm manner in which he made the statements, and his calm demeanor during the videotape.
Remember Daniel Pearl and the US Pow's that were captured with Lynch. On tape, they all seemed nervous, shaken (as any normal person would have been in those circumstances). Berg didn's seem nervous, almost seemed serene and I felt that odd.

Zarqawi's presence in Iraq was the only evidence of any kind that the Bush administration had to prove its claim that Al Qaeda and Iraq were working togetherCould have fooled me. According to the press, there was no connection what-so-ever. This is an interesting development of rewritten history.

"It was Nick Berg who was murdered because he read off his name, his mother and father's name, his brother and sister's name, where he lived, etc. before they sawed off his head."
No. In fact, it stands to reason that Al Qaeda knew the details about Berg long ago. His laptop was used by Moussaoui, after all, so it's safe to assume that they knew about him.

"My son died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld. This administration did this," Berg said in an interview with radio station KYW-AM. Whatever gave you that idea?
Seriously, an ass sniffing subhuman Muslim beast cuts your sons head off, and you blame the Republicans?
The father is a very demented individual.

In a funny way it makes sense. You have:
An idealistic young man who is looking for adventure and willing to travel to get it (family or someone has money). He is a lukewarm Jew, but likes the idea of having a cause/religion. He travels to Iraq because he has distant family there, and is willing to visit them to see what he can do to help them. He leaves Iraq and returns a few weeks later to see if he can get a job to help out. He is a devout Jew for awhile, then starts to investigate Islam (that is why he had the Koran), also it is the prominent religion in the country he was in. He wants to learn Arabic because a lot of people use that language in Iraq (is it the same as Parsi?) This is a normal activity for an intellectual American 26 year old male. It is indiscreet, but then I was also indiscreet at 26.

The noses are absolutely identical in both pics of Berg. I'm pretty sure it's him.

Love, once again we are thinking alike. The story is a distraction. Nothing in the world can change the horror of what happened to him.
