...Maybe this man's father thought sending his poor son as an envoy to Bin Ladens guys was a neat campaign trick for Kerry...
This sent chills up my spine as it reminded me of Kerry's trip to Paris to meet with the North Vietnamese. Perhaps Kerry has a more interesting connection with members of this family?

Sorry I'm late, I had to go supply shopping. Now I understand why they're sold out!

The body is stateside, but from what I've read no one except for the family will be at the funeral.

Dang....that has the ring of plausibility. (this post has been run by the spelling police.)

A shame that OSU got good, cause I've got a coach down in Austin that I'd love to give them. In fact any school, make an offer, us horn fans are feeling mighty generous....

Didn't I hear Angle on Fox say he had anti-Semitic literature in his pocket?
Was that when he was picked up by the Iraqis or when his body was found?

It's beginning to seem to me that Berg had a chance encounter with Moussouai a few years ago, eventually wandered into Iraq as an adventurer/businessman, aroused Iraqi suspicions because he's an unusual guy in an unusual place, and was captured and killed because he's an American. Maybe there's no mystery and we're just spinning conspiracy theories.

And we're supposed to believe that the CIA sent a spy into a dangerous region with his real identity? And written down on a passport stamped by the Israeli's, no less? If they had caught a CIA spy, they would have never known his name. Infiltrating terrorists groups is a very difficult thing to do. They need to see many years of contact with the group before they will trust anyone.
I can see a student that has already made contact with some middle eastern types in college continuing his identity in order to keep the contact.
This isn't the cold war, where James Bond gets assigned a new identity for every mission. Terrorists just don't operate that way.
I wouldn't doubt that the only way we will EVER get a spy into their network is to recruit someone already in the group, who will continue to use their own name. If Berg made contact with these creeps in college, then he'd continue using his own name.

I think Berg went to school at several places. He was at OU only for about a year.

Good day, Onyx. Daddy Berg's actions do not anger me so much as disgust me. Had he waited until after his son's funeral to do the exact same thing, I would have better understood it. But to make politics almost his very first act upon news breaking of what happened to Nick is truly despicable.
His first thought seems not to have been to comfort his surviving children and other family members, nor to deal with his own grief, nor to honor his son's memory. Rather, his first thought seems to have been to get as much political mileage as he can out of Nick's death while the getting is good.

Thank you John. So Kackikat, what do you think? The facial structure and hair color could pass better than Nick Berg's.
I usually avoid tinfoil threads, but this one is different.

It could have been his line and cover. Way too coincidental for me First thing I thought too Helms. Why the "oversell" on being a Bush supporter, when his father's Intl. A.N.S.W.E.R. affiliations were known to no-one but DFU and the Freepers? Because those affiliations were bound to come to light?
The father made a strange comment today ... he said that Nick quit the Boy Scouts because they were going to force him to go to some military base and fire a handgun. Somehow, the lefty Dad thought that displayed something about Nick that gave him more of a victim status, something that should have provided him an affinity with the Islamist scumbags who slit his throat.
There's a lot of stink in this deal.
To: skeeter
We would know that the body is that of Berg's. That has nothing to do with whether or not he's the person in the video.
To: kcvl
Whaaaat? This cannot be a coincidence. This whole thing smells to high heaven, and it better not get swept under the rug.
To: aft_lizard
And getting a visa to go over there? It would be that easy to get a visa to go to Iraq right now? You might be right, but....dang....

He attended several schools including U Ok in Norman--but never got a degree. At Ok he let Moussaoui use his cellphone and emial. One report said he made Arab friends there. Another notes his fraternal aunt (now deceased) was married to an Iraqi.
To: Peach
Why do you think Freepers won't like the big story stemming from this matter? Can we be truthful here? Given the fact that this guy and his family are Jewish, and his Dad is blaming the President of the United States, and now it's learned that he may *possibly* have ties with terrorist?
Don't look real good, that's for dang sure. LOL!

Thanks for posting this, Red. I'm sure you've seen at least a still shot of the man who was executed. Do you have an opinion on this?
