May 13, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - Shocking shots of sexcapades involving Pfc. Lynndie England were among the hundreds of X-rated photos and videos from the Abu Ghraib prison scandal shown to lawmakers in a top-secret Capitol conference room yesterday.

Really! Dosn't anyone remember the Kassebaum report ? From an interview with Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent think tank that specializes in military personnel issues, about the Pentagon's recommendations:

"I wouldn't say that the Kassebaum report was a knee-jerk response. I think it was well-written and had original conclusions that are grounded more in reality than in theory. A good sound personnel policy encourages discipline, not indiscipline. And to throw young men and women together in situations where they live and work and sleep together without any type of separation or privacy between the sexes is asking for trouble, and trouble is what we've seen.A sex club atmosphere developed at Aberdeen, and it exists at some of the basic training bases. There have been sexual tradeoffs between drill sergeants and trainees and sometimes abusive relationships. I see [the problems at] Aberdeen as a direct result of the gender-integration policies of the Army."

The fact that there is video of her screwing multiple partners further suggests the possibility that this entire thing was limited to these dozen National Guard soldiers.

I'll admit I was skeptical about that at first. But, you are right. These new photos show this nut was most likely the ring leader, um, the cheerleader, starring in her own version of "Lynddie Does Iraq."

Is it just me or are these accused a little bit too free with their comments? I know they have lawyers advising them but if the tons of high profile cases the media have force fed us over the years have taught us anything, it's to keep your mouth shut tight. Just one comment can be their undoing in court.

In the Air Force, we were told that getting a civilian lawyer may not be the best course of action in a court martial. It may work against the accused in the opinion of a board.

Of course there is. The only point I was really trying to make is that most of the posters are singling her out.

It takes two to tango as they say and her case alot more than two. The guys are as guilty as her and in most cases more so I'm willing to bet because she's only a PFC. Pretty junior in the Chain of Command.

I'm willing to bet that 80% of the military personel in the prison are of higher rank than her.

Why all the outrage directed at her is all I'm wondering? What were the Senior NCO's doing is what I ask? Oh should I dare ask, may be a better question?

Brad, there are photos of British soldiers that very much appear to be fake.

Those are the ones that show a prisoner being urinated on, a rifle butt to the groin of a prisoner and things like that. They include shots of a rifle that was not used in Iraq and a truck that was not sent there either.

There may have been some sex shots, but those are the ones I know about.

Now, the other pictures that are fake are the pictures that supposedly are American soldiers that are raping an Iraqi woman, forcing a woman to give oral sex to a soldier while other soldiers look on with their pants down, etc.

Those pictures came from a porn site. (Sex in War, or something like that is the name of it.)

Anyway, those pictures are not real. In fact, I saw them and they don't even look close to being real in my opinion.

My father died on active duty as a Lt. Col. in the army. He always said that women had no business in the military, unless it was as nurses. Sounds like the old man was right.

I definitely agree that she is getting the most of the bad press. Personally, I would liked to have seen them all paraded on the news over the past week.

She will never live a regular life. Forever she is "that girl that did all those bad things".

Now, this needs to be moved off of the front pages and every 15 minute broadcasts of the news. So the others are getting a much better deal.

Sadly, in most cases of fraternization that I've seen lately, the man is A. Normally the superior; and B. He is the ONLY one to face prosecution.

Happened to a friend of mine recently...consensual sex with a subordinate female (in his chain of command), and HE was the only one taking the fall. She was married, too.

Not in any way defending him, he knew better, and he was married, too, but she should also have faced the music. As it was, he's the only one.

It's looking more and more like her pregnancy is what we call a "strategic knockup". It happens way too often.

A female, not wishing to go on or stay on a deployment, gets pregnant to be sent home. Many times, they get abortions a few months later, and there is NOTHING the military can do about it.

Englund probably knew that the prosecutions were in the works, and got herself knocked up to get out of Dodge.

What a sick, disgusting disgrace of a human being. I hope she sees SERIOUS time in the slammer. If she actually has the baby, I hope to Hell it is put up for adoption. Neither her nor any of the prospective fathers is anything close to being a good parent.
