I've never seen anything like it in American pop-culture. Joss Whedon just introduced a new character who's a bleached-blond United States Senator and who intends to become President in 2008. Her most trusted aid is a vampire, and she's a member of the Circle of the Black Thorn - the most evil assemblage of characters in the history of the greater Buffy-verse [kind of like a Justice League of America, only for evil, not good].
Talk about your full body slams... All I can say is: WOW!

It happens now, when the Buffyverse is about to closed down and padlocked for good.
What took him so long?

I sincerely appreciate the info on the show, but have to admit that I was trying to make a joke!

I sincerely appreciate the info on the show, but have to admit that I was trying to make a joke! Yeah, I realized that after I posted.

But then her opponent turned out to be a flag waving Republican type, she blurted out that she intended to become president in 2008 Then she said that her opponent will be exposed as a pedophile.
"Is he a pedophile?", asked Angel.
"He will be when we're through with him", she snarled.
That's when it clicked with me that they were depicting Hillary. Scary.

Never heard of this show,
I don't even know if WB is on my Cable system.
I think I'll just watch some previously recorded "Man Show" episodes.
I'll check back

Not on my list of shows.
But inquiring minds want to know: Does she wear the crusty uniform?

*Joss Whedon just introduced a new character who's a bleached-blond United States Senator and who intends to become President in 2008You mean Kay Bailey Hutchenson is running for President in 2008? Who would have thought it? ;-)

Hey, guys -- the episode was written by David Fury, not Joss. Mr. Fury's the one who's always written Spike as a rapist and killer. Joss, on the other hand, changed the final season of Buffy because his original storyline seemed to him to be a possible validation of the Iraq war. He ruined the season just to stay P.C.

Yes, saw it (HUGE Buffy/Angel fan here) and Hillary was the very first thougth that ran through my head as well. Disappointed that Sarah won't be back for the finale. :(

his original storyline seemed to him to be a possible validation of the Iraq war Got any links to that? [First I'd heard of it.]
But you gotta figure that Joss approved tonight's script, unless maybe he just doesn't give a damn anymore.
And however you look at it, somebody in the greater Joss-hierarchy just threw down on Senator Marcy Park.
In a big way.
