Kerry: Replace Rumsfeld With McCain

Sen. John Kerry wants his Republican ally John McCain to replace Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
"If America has reached a point where only one person has the ability in our great democracy to manage the Pentagon and to continue or to put in place a better policy even, we're in deeper trouble than you think," Kerry told broadcaster Don Imus today.
"I don't accept that. I just don't accept that. I think that's an excuse. The fact is that we need a change in policy."
Asked who he'd pick as a replacement, the presidential candidate first named Sen. McCain. Then he mentioned Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., Sen. John Warner, R-Va., and William Perry, who was defense secretary under Bill Clinton.
"There are any number of people who are unbelievably capable. This notion that we have to continue with a policy that's wrong and taking us down the wrong track is absurd," Kerry said.
McCain has long been an apologist for the Massachusetts Democrat. Only this week he said no one should look into Kerry's admitted war "atrocities."

McCain as SecDef...that is about as scary as Kerry as President.
To: PhiKapMom
McCain is mad at Pres Bush for not making him the SecDef which would have been a disaster. Indeed it would have been. Imagine "Black Hawk Down" once a month.

Every year McCain's rating drops lower -- RINO fits him better then anyone I know. At least most of the rest of them don't go on TV bashing Pres Bush.

The following was in an AP article in The Norman Transcript which I had to type in as they didn't have it on line. Below the comments are the link to Sen Inhofe's comments and interview on our local TV as well as The Oklahoman editorial which is fantastic -- they agree with Sen Inhofe!
Inhofe was later tacitly rebuked by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who was held as a prisoner of war for 5 1/2 years in Vietnam. McCain asked three Army officials whether the Geneva Conventions, which dictate the terms for humane treatment of prisoners, were a burden on U.S. military activities. All three said the conventions were needed to protect U.S. soldiers in conflicts and to demonstrate the United States' moral integrity.
McCain said "if somehow we convey the impression that we've got to do whatever is necessary and humanitarian do-gooders have no place in this arena - which I believe the International Red Cross has an important role to play - then I think we're setting ourselves up for some very serious consequences for American fighting men and women in conflicts in the future."

I just read that McCain walked out of the room yesterday when Senator Inhofe made his statement. Said he disagreed with the statement.
McCain can rot in hell.

Let's just let Kerry go on with his stupid ideas. He is going to implode sooner rather than later. Not too soon I hope since the witch is waiting in the wings.

Psycho works for me. Until I went and checked, I though McCain had only crashed three fighters -- he actually crashed five fighters according to a news report I found.
Sounds like he has been psycho for a long time! Only an Admiral's son and Grandson would still be flying after that many crashes!

When he was running for President there was a story in our newspaper of an interview with McC's mom. She said he had such a temper when he was a toddler that he would throw a tantrum to such a degree that he would bang his head on the floor until he was uncoscious.
How he was ever allowed to fly a plane is beyond me.
His behaviour now is tantamount to throwing a tantrum because he didn't get his way (the presidency)
