He just called CBS Evening News and asked them if they were going to show the militant Islamists' video of the beheading of American Nick Berg.

The woman who answered the phone said that they were going to do a story on it, but they were NOT going to show the full video.

He asked them, "Why not, since you had no problem showing the pictures of the Iraqis being abused by our guys in the prison. Don't you think turnabout is fair play?"

The woman got mad and said, "Thank you for your comment." and then hung up the phone.

This is the point. How the press has shamelessly used these photos which probably caused the death of Nick Berg.

Exactly. Remember during the Vietnam War the picture of the Viet Cong prisoner being shot in the head by a South Vietnamese? They showed it then, over and over, and the photo appears in many books on that war.

There were and still are no quams from the Liberal media about using it and reusing it to make their point about how poorly we fought that war.

So you're right, the liberal media is again being biased in this instance, trying to prevent the public from getting the whole truth.

By the way, I just tried the number two times, letting it ring over and over, and no answer. Likely they've closed down for the night, but maybe they're just hiding!

just got through...we must be aggravating them...I started to ask if they were going to show the vidoe and was cut off by a women who said, "everyone has gone home for the night".

I demanded to speak to a supervisor saying I could not believe that there was no one at the desk for the Evening News at 9:20EST!

She stated all the national broadcasts were complete...I will call tomorrow AM.

Please keep informed if they do/don't show the video.

And don't you just know that if it was a video of 5 American soldiers beheading a terrorist, they'd show it, and the FCC be damned!

Now that they certainly would do. If there was one drop of blood on any of those poor humiliated (hazed) Iraqi soldiers it would have been shown --- over and over and over. We just saw some naked bodies and a girl laughing because that's all they had.

You are correct. It was recorded on both film and video. Eddie Adams won the Pulitzer for the photo and the Huntley/Brinkley Show an NBC aired the video to 20 million Americans. That photo was considered to be a major turning point in American support for the war. I question the actual impact, but it sure did not help the war effort.

Just called talked to some woman, she said they would cover the story.

Now let me say:I DEMAND THAT ALL MEDIA OUTLETS SHOW THAT VIDEO!!!!(the gruesome images on the video can be blurred out, (like the photos of the Iraqi's at the prison) but it must be shown. I don't care if it upsets people . Damn it! Our people need to understand just how evil our enemy is

I am OUTRAGED about this vicious attack on an innocent man who was in Iraq to help rebuild it.

I am OUTRAGED at the media for their irresponsibility and total disregard for our soldiers in combat, by showing the photos of prisoner abuse with no context given.

Most of all, I am OUTRAGED by the actions and conduct of the demacRAT party. They are committing sedition and treason on a daily basis.

I keep asking myself the same questions over and over: -How would the media have handled an "abuse" scandal like this during WW II? Would they have shown the photos ? Since it involved interrogation of enemy prisoners, in an attempt to protect our soldiers, would our people have been very bothered by it ?

What would have happened to the Republicans holding elected office during WW II, if they had acted like democRATS are today, while our nation is at war?

(Don't you just luv the media and the rats were just "oh so concerned" that the muslims, right after 9/11, might be attacked, they deliberately blocked the images -people jumping from the windows of the WTC and others, and everything that has happened since?)

The Daniel Pearl execution wasn't shown, the photo's of burnt contractors corpses on the bridge weren't shown - they (media) have more "concern" for the vicious killers at the Iraqi prison, then they do for our soldiers who are trying to protect us from bloodthirsty raving lunatics. (translation for any stupid liberals reading this- the people in the prison were some of Huessein's worst, and they were planning attacks on our military).

It's amazing how the media gives wide berth to terrorists, serial killers, and any other dregs of our society, but, when it comes to the men and women trying to protect us , they actively attack them, them undermine them, only show the negative about them with the one solitary exception of Fox News , give no balanced coverage to them, no benefit of the doubt. (It is disgusting how they have treated our military.)

I wonder sometimes, if we are ultimately going to make it through this. The enemy is a vicious cold blooded killer. The enemy has no regard for life.

Don't you idiots in the media get it? These people don't give a damn about your "compassion" for them. They cut off the head of a 26 year old without anesthesia , (how much do you think it hurt?). They went up to a pregnant woman with her 4 children in a car, ages 2- 11, and shot them all point blank. They shot the children, (little girls), in the head, and shot their pregnant mother in the stomach. (Now they are trying to hold body parts of Israeli soldiers for ransom.)

Think about what kind of a person shoots a two year old little girl in the head, while her mother and sisters are screaming. Listen to the screams of Nick (the contractor) as they are slicing his head off.

The terrorists would shoot your children in the head , they'd decapitate you, and your spouse if they had the chance. They would detonate a nuke in a city without thinking twice. They would release an infectious agent into the population that would kill thousands, millions, without batting an eye. The young men and women of the military stand between us and these maniacs who wallow in blood and murder. They are trying to protect us from them. Why can't you support our military? Why do you attack them?

I don't know what happened at this prison. But I'm willing to give our military every benefit of the doubt . They deserve it . They are fighting an enemy that is in some ways just as much, or more, insanely evil than the Nazi's. How do you interrogate them? Maybe they were wrong but ,the photo's they didn't have to be shown. The media has known about this since January, (so have the rats). The military was taking care of the problem.

Sometimes, I wonder if we are going to get through this. Maybe we should just start issuing the burka's and prayer rugs now.

Do we have the will to win this war or not? You better ask yourselves that question 'Rats and media members. The least, and I mean very least, you could do , is support the men and women who are trying to protect you, and your children, by taking on the maniacs. Stop focusing on every thing that goes wrong. Have balance , give them the benefit of the doubt. If you are asked not to show photo's by the Pentagon , don't show them over and over and over, because you want to help the rats win an election by eroding public support for the war and cause failure.
